  1. And in the mean time, a coolish and mostly fine week might end on a rather thundery note; mostly from the Midlands southward...And all that in one sentence!
  2. But is it cyclical? Can we infer that summer 2015 will be as ghastly as 1972 was? I do hope not!
  3. But I do love heavy rain and thunderstorms - especially at night!
  4. And in 2006, I was in the Northwest Highlands of Scotland. 'Nuff said?
  5. Well it's certainly 'dire' today...Wall-to-wall sunshine, hardly a breath of wind, and around 21C. What do peeps want?
  6. Aye, BBC Radio 4's lunchtime forecast also warned of 'rain and thunderstorms' for later this week. Here's hoping!
  7. I'm wondering whether the current ENSO-situation might be playing havoc with the model predictions? The do all seem to be somewhat haphazard in their respective outputs...
  8. Now that, alexis, is a question I've been asking, since the 1960s...As yet, no answer has been forthcoming!
  9. No probs. I missed-out more times last year than I can count!
  10. That's a wee bitty uncalled for, Dami...Are we not all a bit self opinionated?
  11. That almost sounds too good to be true...Warm sunshine or thunderstorms - take your pick?
  12. Still very humid, over here. Just waiting for the cold front to pass over.
  13. Will it collide with the thundery stuff that seems to be encroaching from the east? Heavy straw-clutch!
  14. It can happen, CM: sometime back in the late '60s, MK was a cold and wet 15C; Kent, meanwhile, was a steamy 30.5C.
  15. May and June 1983 were also crap; July and August were a different matter, however. Summer's only just into its 5th day...
  16. Similar skies from here, Harry. It's as if the eastward line has sparked-off again?
  17. Aye, Steve: just watched it from the Tesco car park...Water everywhere!
  18. Thanks for that, ET; it's what I'd thought I'd read, or heard, somewhere too. I just wish I could remember where.
