  1. what do you mean i can no longer post for likes?

IMO, it's all a load of nonsense, Dami: we all mostly post what we post, without paying much attention to rep points; and, surely, 'posting for likes' is preferable to posting for some 'other' reasons, anyway?

The whingeing of the few is, once again, spoiling things for the many?

  2. What happened to the reputation feature?!

Perhaps someone found a way to award reputation points to him/herself? Who knows?

  3. I finally resolved to take the time say hello to NW folks after a very long absence. I dragged myself in from the garden where it's still 25c, put my food on to cook and decided it's catch up time.

  5. Why can I only 'like' peeps' posts and no-longer say 'thanks'? Has something 'funny' happened?

And, as with all arbitrary-seeming action, the longer the silence lasts, the longer the rumours have to spread. Who cried to teacher that their house-points total isn't as big as it 'should' be?

I couldn't give two hoots that Steve Murr's reputation is (or was) better than my own...That's the way things go?

Aye, tinkering with responses (irrespective of who prefers which ones) will not deter spammers, WUMs or trolls from making attentions-seeking statements -- as they (spammers, WUMs and trolls) have been active on here since long before any 'reactions' came online...:cc_confused:

Let's just say that I would much-prefer we invested more in obtaining renewable energy, than in participating in political shenanigans...Renewable energy has a all-but-zero carbon footprint?

I'd rather see solar panels fitted to all new-builds, myself...After all, just about anyone can buy a room stat and wire it in, themselves?

How do they propose to do that, Mark? And what about historical temperature abuse?

Or will there be a specialised unit, dedicated solely to apprehending those suspected of heat crimes?

  11. The irony and hypocrisy of flying 5000 miles in first class to a climate change rally is off the scale. Emma Thompson what were you thinking...?

She should have gone shopping, in Harrods, instead? Much ado about nothing!

Had she used a private jet, I'd agree; but she didn't -- she simply sat in a seat on a plane that was going to cross the Atlantic, anyway...?

I can't decide on whether this particular 'controversy' is a red herring or a dead cat!:cc_confused:

  14. Now Oct 31st, we’ve got more chance of getting out of the gravitational pull of this so called Black Hole than getting out of the EU, ATM...enough is enough!!!

Indeed we are...if folks who're not supportive of Farage (the majority) cannot be bothered to cast their votes, they'll have only themselves to blame?

TBH, I think the real 'thwarters' of Brexit have been the ERG and the DUP...time after time after time, they have voted down Mrs May's compromise motion - despite the fact that there's not a cat's chance in Hell that 52% of voters voted for a 'no deal' solution, and all the economic/legal mayhem that that would surely bring...?

FWIW, despite my being an ardent remainer, I'd certainly consider opting for what's almost been on offer; but the Rees-Moggs, Bozo Johnsons and Nigel Farages (and Francois is a moron!) of this world don't understand the meaning of 'compromise'. Either that, or they've got some other reasons (best known to themselves) for standing firm in their 'no deal, no second referendum' delusion?

IMO, the whole thing has been done in reverse order; what's being argued now, should have been done-and-dusted long before us people were consulted. If the current fiasco is allowed to continue for much longer, we'll all be dead before Brexit either does or doesn't happen!

A proper binding referendum, with all the safeguards that that would involve? No more of this kick-cameron-in-the-nuts nonsense...

If something of this magnitude needs doing, it needs doing right?
