It may just be me but I'm sure thats moving North, the strikes that are older are from the cell that died earlier.

I was initially thinking NorthWest if you look at the radar

My track takes it into east anglia and southeast England by 10 or 11 this evening before pushing west northwest.
You say East Anglia but I think I'm (Colchester) too far South to get anything. I'm interested in why and if I'm going to miss out on the storms crossing the channel.

@Harry The fact that parts of the country have witnessed all these storms in May makes me wonder what June and July could have in store for us. Interesting times ahead me thinks
It looks to me like we're in for one heck of a summer!

I think the arrows are accurate the storms will move in a west northwest direction and become elongated through east anglia central England too then a broad area of thundery rain for Western England after midday.
Sounds about right to me!

West? That's us then.
I've been out of the loop since yesterday so I'm oblivious to what's forecast tonight and tomorrow. Working from home though, always a bonus.Supposed to be action tonight from midnight to mid-day tomorrow

Yup but I think I'm going to go to bed now. I keep dozing off. I'll be very surprised if I wake up and it's raining. I highly doubt it will be though.
I'm off to bed in a bit, hopefully it doesn't fall appart over the channel!

Is it me or has the northern half sparked into activity again?

Now, to figure out if that's a good or bad thing. I have a feeling it's a good thing.
Again, over the coming hours it will become clearly evident what path it will take and how intense it will be. Now, we wait!

Is it me or does that look like giant rotation on the radar in the channel.
Now that I look at it, I do see some rotation!

That’s the left side the part of rain on the right is what will probably push into Kent then other parts of southern England probably it’s northern limit being south midlands.
Only time will tell....

I don't know. I don't think it'll get that far if I'm honest.
I agree, it's extremely slow moving and will most likely fizzle out over the channel. Hopefully it makes it all the way! Fingers crossed!

Is there any point keeping an eye on the cells over in France that are moving North?
