The surface based blob just leaving the French coastline looks lively and seems to be increasing in activity. Keeping a close eye on it...

Electrical activity has died down somewhat, hopefully it will reignite as we've all seen it do over the years.

Activity is definitely increasing near Maidstone

and again.
Can confirm as I have seen 3 sferics in the distance to my south west in the last 5 minutes.

Just had 3 - 4 loud rumbles in the last 10 minutes. None of which have appeared on blitzortung

Interesting that it died out a bit when it hit the channel. Surface based
Which means it should reignite when it reaches the south coast, right?

It might just be me, but does anyone else see a more northward movement in the last 10 minutes?

Seems that cell in France is heading more East unless I'm proven wrong though some new cells seem to be popping up in the channel
Earlier I thought it would head along the French coast but I was proven wrong

Just had a very brief shower of small hail here in St Leonards on Sea. It's still quite breezy down here on the south coast but nowhere near as bad as the last few days. At least the sun is shining.
The same has just happened here in Colchester

I feel I might be too far east, is this the case anyone? Best of luck to you all!

Hi Tinybill, do you believe that stuff will make it to Essex?
It all seems to be moving east, hard to tell but personally I think it looks unlikey...

I'm calling rain for the Tendring Peninsula in Essex. Unlike the Southend area, the system moves slowly over a greater expanse of mild sea (7oC at the moment).
I think we're in a better place for a streamer tomorrow though.sounds good...still a lot of uncertainty about this evening still..

I'm confused, is it back building?
-
am i wrong in stating that backbuilding is occurring and is even visible on the netweather radar?

Reckon will do well here in Essex, might go up to the Danbury hills later if the front actually gets moving again, also noticed the front looks to be getting stronger with injection from France.
Agreed!
