  1. Lets see how the Sheffield shield reacts to a different direction of attack. No problem with rain showers so far. There has been some strikes to SW of us earlier and the sky has gone dark in that direction.
  2. Light showers but skies getting darker. Fairly cool as well at 19.5C
  3. Last night brought our total up to 45.3mm for the month with 27mm falling last night. 79% of average.
  4. Okay got the full rain in. The Davis overdid it a bit but we got 27mm in the official gauge.. Didn't see any lightning and only heard one rumble of thunder on the way down to the pub at 19:45. Bit baffled as to why this mornings forecast reckoned we'll be hitting 25C to 26C today. Must have been a slip of the tongue.
  5. Sure only got 27mm here. Still Thundery in nature so I guess it's possible a large difference. Quite amusing last night. The pub was so warm people were going outside to stand in the rain too cool down. Any idea when ti should kick off today?
  6. A much fresher feel today after heavy overnight rain. Temp 15.1C Barometer 1001mb rising Wind F3 WSW Rainfall since midnight 21mm
  7. Well I posted a load of rubbish last night when I got back from the pub. Don't post when drunk. If I offended anybody sorry. Well more radar watching today and hopefully some storms. Yesterdays rain came on strong around 3 ish with 21 mm of rain falling.
  8. Not really just a narrow band of heavy rain. I'm not going to be getting much more than 10mm tomorrow morning. By the way once again wide spread thunder wasn't predicted just hight rainfall which hasn't happened as off yet.
  9. A very small band of heavy rain moving north. It won't give 50 mm of rain that some are expecting unless it stalls. Places away from the warning zone that I saw earlier may have exceeded expected totals.
  10. Oh dear so embarrassing. What a over hype job. 50 mm of rain. I've just walked home and hardly got wet. If anybody in Sheffield got any lightning after 19:30 let me know via pm please and yes I'm serious on that. Up to 8.4mm lucky to make ten.. Got to admit earlier it looked good but went badly wrong. The storms were never on to be honest. If anybody listened to midday forecast they would have known that. However the rain event what happened to that? Another oh dear. Tomorrow will deliver. It's supposed to be fairly pleasant. Unless you're unucky.
  11. Apart odd spot of rain briefly nothing much to report bar cells going around me again
  12. Sheffield shield powering up fully or should say s89en shield?
  13. Lightning Dronfield way??? Probably the black cell I can see the SE of me.
  14. Gone round me once again. Looks like it's chucking it down to the north of me.
  15. Just a little kitten. Raining over Shef Uni way though. Cloud overhead edging away.
  16. Odd spot of rain now. Tower trying to go up over my house and another one to the SE.
  17. Sheffield Shield powering up in case these clouds dare think of anything like lightning.
  18. Certainly a storm seems to brewing over the keyboard in Lyneham Wilts. In the meantime is the isle of white still there??? Sort of disappeared under Blue and green.
  19. Not Amber and it's going to get walloped in the next few hours unless the channel kills it which seems very unlikely.
  20. Amber warning for the NE just issued. How come nothing for the Isle of white and just west?
  21. Looking the warnings may need shifting across to the west and central areas of the UK unless the track suddenly changes.
  22. Seems that way. Clearly it's seen it's earlier babies mortally wounded in the channel so it's decided to follow it's pals journey northward instead. This may end up being a washout for the West and Central England.
  23. The winds are SSE. Apart from an convergence at 1000 pha just in the channel. In theory that should help things along but doesn't seem to be.
