Sunny Sheffield still at 7.4C +1.2C above normal. Rainfall 82.4mm 130.2% of the monthly average.
The month will be in our top twenty warmest months and top twenty wettest. Unlikely to hit 100mm though as we seem to be dodging most of the heavier rain.
A dry morning with sunny spells. Average temperatures. Not windy even in the peak district.

Wind rain most of the winter it hasn't been possible unless have a desire for wet soggy clothes. Even dry days have had 100% humidity and I've brought washing in damper than it went out. If i had an infinite number of washing lines and clothes it maybe possible. I even prefer to put washing out if possible. Probably managed around ten times this autumn and winter which of course excludes times when the washing came in wetter than it went out.
A dry rather mild welcome to sunday.Sunny spells and windy
Temp 5.7C, low 5.3C, Barometer 1006mb rising slowly, Wind F4 WNW, Rainfall since midnight NIl
Well the quarry is full of cooling lava. I can't see them managing to restart using it as the lava with take a long long long time to cool down. They managed to build the barriers up a bit where it looked live the lava would over top. With absence of a new flow things look okay for now however if the eruption continues it's only a matter of time before another flow comes that way. At the moment the eruption rate is probably two low to be a real threat however land is slowly rising so output is less than input so the eruption could build up again a little or could even shift if the present vents aren't enough to relieve the building pressure which we've seen happen before. Of course it could all stop and we got back to the old routine.
