  1. Frequent rumbling now also gone very atmospheric like it sometimes does befire a storm.
  2. Maybe it was from this, wasn't sure if it was accurate.
  3. Nice little storm flashes were infrequent but had a couple overhead, but saw a lot of flashes just to the East on that very active storm now heading into Derby. A very intense burst of rain too which i got soaked in. Another thundery day. We are getting spoilt this year around here. Very angry, dark and moody looking skies. Different to the June storms in a weird way. Also this event kind of reminds me of a day of storms in May 2016 when a few storms kicked off in the day but the main event came on the evening when a line of storms starting in the SE traveled up the country to the NW and after the storm, there were several torrential showers without thunder, which is exactly what we have had here today a storm and now a lot of heavy thunderless showers.
  4. Can see the anvil from the storms to the west including further convection and a lot more convection here now the sun has came out, very warm and humid still. Keeping an eye on what those cells in the SW Midlands do as it all seems to organising into one big line.
  5. Looks like some decent activity starting in the channel.
  6. Storm pop corn already and some well developing in the distance in the south and west, more cells could fire up soon. Also good starting the day with sun.
  7. As Ben referred to above the storms after the line of showery rain. Looking good so far. Interest and optimism levels rising slowly. .
  8. Hopefully, keeping an eye out some very cauliflower looking clouds about.
  9. Still convection happening even though its starting to feel a little cooler now (still warm), bit looks like showers are still trying to develop.
  10. Although nothing is expected here, it feels like the US plains very warm and humid with a strong breeze and towers growing as they push NE over head, nice skies though. Wonder if we can get a surprise here further south. Unlikely though.
  11. I think you are under a different one as you're north of me, i believe the ones im seeing are whats developing around codsall and cannock
  12. Little shower to the West looking nice with the sunset.
  13. Wow, looks very much like one. I caught something similar to that Monday 12th, looked like a funnel but not sure if it was.
  14. Yeah, ingredients were there to support a brief funnel.
  15. Can see the convergence here on this timelapse, especially near the top of the video. 355855318_6860508267301831_5415482866848781715_n.mp4
  16. Very clear convergence here, clouds heading in different directions, seen some come in from the North while others are heading in from the West.
  17. Just had some drops bigger than a 50p coin. First rain today even though we been close to the Midlands cells for a couple of hours now.
  18. Not quite, its just to the South, Dark towards that way but still bright to the N. This close lol
  19. Huge towers here some connecting to the cell in Birmingham. Just visible here with a developing Anvil.
  20. This June is becoming one to remember for storms especially around here, i cant remember so many storms in any June before even passing the stormy week in June 2020, and looking at the models could be more to come. Sunday is looking juicy. Lets see if it continues or upgrades.
  21. Yeah defo that, came as a surprise really as i havent checked for a few hours so a nice surprise, a few bolts and few cracks of thunder and a torrential downpour not bad. Another to add on the list lol. Here was the view from here.
