  1. -2 here, everywhere frozen might help the ground to cool down a bit ready for the cold spell next week, especially with the day time temps being in single figures too. Also first gritter seen last night.
  2. Yeah not had any issues until today, especially the last few hours, some parts being quite slow. But it only happens in short intervals then its fine again.
  3. Some of the showers looked threatening today but nothing more than a moderate shower.
  4. Some bigger towers appearing in the cloud breaks from small pop up heavy showers over the midlands. Clearing as i type this though.
  5. Yeah keeping a watch on these, large breaks in them. Wouldn't be surprised they have or will be creating some waterspouts.
  6. If im right in thinking, the curvature on these cells is what we have to watch for possible tornado's in NI and approaching Wales.
  7. Not a direct hit here but managed to see 1 flash and rumble with it with some decent rain. Good to see a little something.
  8. Not much action here today other than a torrential downpour around mid day no thunder heard though even though lightning was detected to the west of Birmingham. As for now a amall heavy shower approaching Telford is giving a nice anvil.
  9. Proper autumn, strong winds, heavy bursts of rain, drizzle currently which is blowing horizontally. Quite a lot of leaves in the garden already.
  10. There has been some rapid development of precipitation south of Leicester on the last few frames, some bright echoes on radar.
  11. Noticed that too but wasn't sure. If it were day still there would be some stunning photogenic structures.
  12. Very bright and frequent flashes on this cam currently, enjoy everyone who gets them tonight, its been quite the wait for most of the south - Sandown Webcam - Explore the Isle of Wight WWW.ISLEOFWIGHT.COM Absorb the views from our Sandown Webcam on the Isle of Wight looking across the South Coast. 13. Ziltch here today, great to see all the pics and video's though of everyone that's caught storms, some of them look huge and very active. Was amazed watching the lightning maps earlier seeing strikes every second or less.
  14. Stunning sunset last night with the rays and developing cells in the west midlands last night causing sky shadows whatever they are called but there was some very vivid colours even more so than the Saharan dust earlier in the week.
  15. Some of the pics today are like they are from the US plains. Can see the tops and anvil from here from thr Midlands storms.
  16. Been in the garden all afternoon couldnt hear anything from here, but can see the tops though.
  17. Quietly monitoring the skies and radar today so far, first shower in the SW Midlands, near the Welsh boarder.
  18. Already feels ripe out there, incredibly sticky, been a while since i felt this level of humidity. Also hotter tomorrow, if these storms pop off, some places could be looking at some locally very active storms i suspect, same on Sunday too.
  19. Humidity is incredible, feels like mid July. Hoping for some massive storms this weekend. Hopefully without damage though, (if they come to fruition with the large hail). Would be nice if a very active MCS or line came through the entire region to give us all some action.
  20. Yeah CG bolts, shotgun thunder, some of the heaviest rain i've seen with flooding widespread locally, pretty much like the 16th June 2020 storms and also the 28th June 2012 event, but without the large hail, although some pea sized hail was in it too, along with some very strong gusts as the gust front came through. Also yeah last Septembers storms gave some stunning lightning.
