  1. Thunder here now too first one looking juicy to the southwest.
  2. Been nice to watch the distant flashes to the East, the odd bright one with 1 faint rumble.
  3. Both of the below are difficult to see, but managed to look through more and spotted some interest. First was a nice CC fork across the sky. More interestingly i spotted what looks very like a funnel, from the storm over the Black Country on Monday, i did see some lowering at times so i could of been a small funnel.
  4. Anyone who wants to watch the current severe weather outbreak in South East US, Ryan is live now covering it with storm chasers-
  5. Hit and miss has always been the way but when you miss out especially by a few miles multiple times then that's on another level of unluckiness. We had it here in 2017 when we only had a few rubles from a distant cell for the entire year while most of southern areas had some crazy storms that year.
  6. Every day in metrological summer has now reached 30 or above
  7. 25c in bedroom but with a fan on its not too bad.
  8. Even though we didn't get an overhead storm here today there were some stunning structures.
  9. Completely missed out on storms and even rain today somehow, but not all bad as i saw distant activity and flashes from a storm that skimmed to the southwest and then another that rapidly developed over or near Wolverhampton that then merged with the first, im surprised we haven't had a drop of rain though from all the activity just a light shower this afternoon.
  10. Tonnes of thunder flashes to the west and seen 2 cg's to the north but im stuck in the middle in a void. Also a clear CZ zone just to the north too.
  11. Looks like its gonna miss me to the west as a gap appeared. But we'll see.
  12. Looking very similar to yesterday, will be out looking East again in a bit if it continues which it should given the forecasts and the amount of energy. Once again yesterday and probably today the weather has proved that atleast parts of the Midlands do very well when storms come in from the South East. Few spots of rain here currently.
  13. Its clouded over here quite considerably, will that affect possible storms later even though it feels even more muggy than the last 2 days?
  14. Not sure if it has a name, but its right next to the M6 near Bentley in Walsall, a good view to the North, East and South East even though its not as high as Barr Beacon. Probably was an even better view up there.
  15. So the storm hit but not as bad as i was expecting, we had quite a lot of CC lightning and loud cracks that went on for a good 45 minutes, but the rain wasn't torrential, just heavy and then a good couple of hours of moderate rain, just stopped. Watching it approach from the East and South East from the hill i was on though was amazing to watch and to see a cell grow so rapidly too was unreal. Once it got too close i got off that hill and headed back. Not a bad storm, but an average one id say but sounds like Coventry, Lemington spa and Bedfordshire had it pretty bad. Took a lot of pics but wasn't the best as there was a lot cloud before the storm so was obscuring the best views of it. 3rd storm this year so far and only in Early/Mid June.
  16. OMG!!! Just this pic for now i have many more but ill post them as i dont have good signal atm but im hearing thunder.
  17. Im currently out at the moment enjoying this fine weather, i have a good vantage point not far from where i am so as these storms get closer i should start to be able to see them, ill post them later ane hopefully a storm too.
  18. Yeah looks like it but the only concern is the pulse type so they will probably need about 5 daughter cells to reach us lol, unless we get some of our own local development in the next few hours.
  19. Yeah was having the same problem yesterday too of it not appearing, so im using Sat24
  20. Midlands usually does quite well from storms that form in that area of the SouthEast where they are forming now. Seen it many times. So if it happens again, a whole a lot more people might be in the firing line later on.
