  1. With out doubt sale of fireworks to the public should be banned,no place in today;s society. If you want to see them,get off your backside and go to a display,don't scare the hell out of pets and wildlife.

      In Alberta Canada they are effectively banned for general sale. You need a license to purchase them. It means the community get together for their displays each year for Canada Day (July 1) and New Years Day. But then they don't celebrate Guy Fawkes Night. It makes for a nice controlled way to enjoy the fireworks and everyone's happy. It does help bring the community together and build community spirit having it this way IMO
