Excellent display here in south east Reading with gusty winds and hail as it moved through

A very nice 5cm so far here in Reading, and still falling.

Lovely storm! Just a couple of miles off a direct hit but very impressive

Enjoyed watching this grow - this is looking ENE towards Maidenhead/London way.

Similar to others, this is looking north towards Oxford way.

Posted on the convective thread earlier but here is a view from behind whatever is forming over heathrow. Seemed to go up quickly

Looks good for those to the east of me. These were taken a few mins ago in Windsor looking eastwards.

This has slowly been approaching from the north. Let's see what it brings

Occasional flashes seen to my south west, so in the Ascot / Virginia Water area.

Bucket loads of rain falling from the 'new' cell to the west of the Heathrow one, but nothing electrical seen yet. The theatre here in Windsor got evacuated mid-performance due to flash flooding. Just trawling through my phone to see what (if anything) i managed to capture from tonight.

Me too. Plenty of flashes just to the north of me now in the Slough direction.

Just driven through that whilst going from Windsor to Staines. Very large raindrops, torrential at times, but no thunder heard. seemed to appear from nowhere!

Big flash over towards Ascot. A couple of aircraft are holding off on approaching Heathrow right now

Evening all Thought I'd post some pics I took whilst flying back from Rome at 36,000ft this evening . Some nice high level formations over France were on display, but I was cursing the dirty window! First two were taken over the French/Italian border, and the last 3 were near Rouen (nw of Paris)
