sharp showers forming overhead

Weird it feels like thunder is randomly happening around me but only occasionly after that storm passed

Can see the Salisbury Plain storm now to the south and the one moving into the Cotswolds to the north

Biblical rain lasted about 10 minutes and now the lightning is moving away, it was most concentrated around Bath/Limpley Stoke about 2 miles west of me which probably explains why there was no gunshot booms of thunder but definitely some of the most frequent lightning.

2015 actually wasn't that good here, I'd prefer July 2014.

I wonder if these will expand as they move into central England?

I remember the Bournemouth Storm in 2015 had over 350/min at one point

You may be too far east of the main activity but you're going to have to wait until things become more certain as no one is completely sure where they will hit tonight.

looks like a wall of rain to the west of me. Must be torrential under that

raining steadily here for past half an hour but not heavily.

So far disappointing here. We're just getting the drizzly edges of the cells passing to the west.
