Was watching the news in the hotel room and they have given a tornado warning for tomorrow, can't remember exactly where, am a bit frazzled at the moment with my early 3am starts.... just typical as it's changeover day! Checked spc and there isn't a warning on there however or wasn't when I looked.

Ok so I'm at best western, this place is lovely, massive room, nice and fresh, a million times better than my motel in Los Angeles! Be good to meet everyone soon! I'll keep checking this for replies!

Well hope everyone managed to get it sorted, I was lucky as ba pulled through on every step for me, even in light of the disaster, feel for those not so lucky!! Currently sat on a plane in Los Angeles awaiting take off to get to Dallas for midday! My contact number is +447912137703.... also, if anyone needs them I have a few t-mobile sims with unlimited data and calls on (my friend is Los Angeles worked for them)... they may or may not work but they should as they are 'special' sims ;-) (handy if your phones unlocked unlike mine so I cannot use them!

Just added you dude! I'm staying at century inn at the moment and there is a best western down the road... hoping to get to griffin observatory later to do some photos at sundown, and no I don't mind being on YouTube! Let's hope we get some stunning storms for it :-)

It's all about the chase ;-) I'm currently sat at Heathrow waiting to drop my bags off as thankfully British airways haven't cancelled my flight and I've managed to check in :-) first stop Los Angeles for a couple of days then onto Dallas for tour 3! Excited much, nervous much too :-)

Fingers crossed!! I was right under the funnel that come out of the brief storm in Dorset the other week so I'm taking that as a good omen :-), so long as I see decent lightning and I'll be happy, to see a tornado, well mission accomplished! (And if I don't, well it's a good excuse to go again ;-) )

How I wish I was on tour 1.......

Ok, so that's the camera gear, what about tripods? I have a rather heavy but sturdy (also a tad bulky) red snapper tripod or shall I opt for a more lightweight mafrotto or similar?? I like the snapper as its sturdy whereas the lighter ones I tend to find flimsy, but more worried about setting up, hence buying a GoPro too.... I'm so panicky about not getting some decent pictures.....

Ok, so I'll be in Dallas the day before, anyone on tour 3 there early? If anyone fancies steak and a few beers the night before let me know as I'll be on my own at a loose end :-)

Cheers for the advice, that's a pity with the 17-40 as that's a brand new l series lens I bought specifically for this trip, now I'm wondering if I have made the right choice... I also have a Samyang f2.8 14mm ultra wide fully manual lens, and the longest in my possession is a 55-250

Hi ladies and gents, im trying to sort my camera gear that I will be taking, but unsure of what lenses to take... so for any photography people, please advise?? i have: canon eos 70d 17-40mm elf f.4 lens 10-18mm wide angle f4.5 50mm prime FI.8 60mm efs f2.8 macro (great for close up down day shots?) tamron 18-200mm f3.5-6.3 all with polarisers and three with adjustable nd filters... gopro hero 5 (for wearing on chasing) question is, what lenses shall I bring out of the above?? Yesterday's storm!! In dorset It was amazing in Dorset/Weymouth, I have a nice video of rotation and a momentary funnel that appeared right above me in a quarry at crossways, didn't look like scud!! Will try and upload later
