    Snowing very heavily at the moment now... which was a pleasant surprise to wake up to... nice covering on the ground.. -2 C at the moment... have no idea how long it has been snowing...

    Temperature has dropped considerably since midday, from 13 deg celsius, it's now a much cooler 5 deg C. Wind direction has always shifted from a Sw'ly to a W'ly... should swing to the northwest pretty soon, i hope!!

    Strange. A moment ago at 1:30pm, the sky was bright.. it had a strange white-ness quality to it. Then when i had my back turned, i could hear the pattering of snow hitting the ground outside. White-out! for about 10 minutes, before dyingo ff. Now having light showers on and off. Little is settling though. Temp: 1 C

    It's snowing lightly now. Very small flakes... nice covering on the ground overnight. Don't know the depth... haven't ventured out. Temp 0 C.

    No snow in cambridge yet today. at least where i'm at. Temp nearing -2 C. Sky should be relatively clear, can see the moon from my window. The precipitation is just to the east of us, covering Norfolk and Suffolk. Hopefully it will move inland enough to give us some dusting, before the next band comes pushing down from up north.

    Temperature now 5 C, sky is a dark grey.. looking ominous. Winds have just swung over to a Northerly, from a SWly... is this the cold front passing over us, after that earlier band of rain in midday?

    Started to rain here in Cambridge. Is this part of the front sweeping down from Scotland? The BBC radar hasn't been updated since 7pm. Temperature hovering around 6 C. Winds also starting to pick up.

    temperatures have stayed at 15.5 C for the past 2 hours.. gusts of 30mph, but even with that, it still feels very very mild for an early february day. Hopefully the rest of the month will cancel this exceptional mildness off.....
