Just heard one of family members say “Apparently it’s gonna snow loads over the whole uk on Sunday”

I used to work near Coventry back then and I remember driving from Leicester to Coventry down the M69. Leicester had no snow and progressively as I drove down, the snow got deeper and deeper. MKN is right 2018 was rubbish here for snow lol

Throwback to the 2018 BFTE when Leicestershire was in this triangle of no warnings

It’s funny how as soon as the SE and london area are about to see some snow, the media including the BBC are portraying the upcoming snap as a ‘significant’ and ‘snowy’ spell for the whole of the UK. But when it’s the rest of the Uk getting snow and not the London area, there’s hardly any hype in the media.

Does anyone else feel a bit disappointed with this all. Looked like a snowy period for us a couple of days ago and now it’s going to be bone dry

MO weekend weather forecast just shows Sundays snow around east Anglia and some south eastern parts of the SE, doesn’t even get into the Midlands at all. Oh well

I’m telling you Leicester is the worst place in midlands because we’re slap bang in the middle so we’re always feeding on appetisers rather than the main course

Everything just seems to happen in the west of the region, the east is always bone dry or we are always on the edge of a band with the light stuff

Probs just a dusting at best going by the models as most ppn is going west mids but again it’s a case of looking at the radar

west is the best in terms of ppn, east is the driest

Stoke looks like it’s getting plastered

Why does this area of ppn have no problem going from east to west but yesterday’s ppn just stayed to the west of the region. The west of our region is primed for snow

Yep Leicestershire is always on the very edge of a band so we always see the lighter stuff...ALWAYS

Just a slushy sleet fest here, disappointed but not surprised. Oh well back to bed
