  1. My mate said they just got hail and thunder in Port Glasgow said might be heading my way, sky does look a bit grey with some greenish reflection of the sun off the cloud, but looks like it's heading more towards the North of the Clyde and the Campsies. Might get lucky though.
  2. Some really good dark curtain type clouds of snow sweeping up the Clyde the day, inevitable rain about 5 now can hear the dripping
  3. Luckily the time between last rain and the colder air and snow showers has seen it landing readily on roads and everything else, not much yet as only had 2 showers to speak of, hopefully more on the way, chilly now. At port Glasgow just now.
  4. I used to frequent down Ardrossan way, I know that disappointment of mild muck when everyone is getting a pasting! Much the same here on the Firth of Clyde we're the snow shield of choice!
  5. Can't see getting much here in port Glasgow being barely 150 feet above sea level and about 300 feet from shoreline. Good luck for anyone higher up inland, hope you get a pasting
  6. Just had a beefy hail shower there in port Glasgow, not bad covering
  7. Had a heavy squall there with what appeared to be a sort of down draught blowing all the feeding birds in the garden away. Clearer now and blustery.
  8. Wind starting to build here, letter box clattering, I'm in port Glasgow today. Lights just flickered there as well.
  9. I'm in Lanark this week, just cold rain here so far, thought as much when I seen all the frost thawing earlier this morning. Is it wrong to say I don't think I want snow now
  10. Will be surprised to see anything significant in the west, think it's more just going to be cold. Even 2010 we had hardly any snow here!
  11. Had a bit of gusty wind early afternoon and about an hour's worth of big flake snow, settled a wee bit on hill behind me but gone now. Quiet as a church mouse now.
  12. Caught a heavy hail shower yesterday while in Port Glasgow, had to shelter in the Garage as I was working outside. My mate who works out on the Golf course, which is quite high up, said they were getting marble size hail and was about an inch deep over the whole course. got 2 big claps of thunder after this shower but missed them on the video.
  13. Proper snowing here in Paisley now. 2oC and DP -1 Been soft hail pellets the last couple of days inbetween nice sunshine and warm, noticed DP was -4 the other day, even though it was nice and warm in the sun.
  14. Careful out there, I had a cracking fall last night, the snow on the back step had turned to black ice with walking on it, I opened the door to dump some stuff in bin, stepped out and before I knew what was happening I was lying vertical across the door way. I was wearing slippers so that didn't help they ended up lying about 5 feet away where the bins are. When I landed on the door frame on my back I heard a sort of clicking/crack sound and thought uh oh the worst what have I done. Luckily ok, just a grazed elbow and a big black bruise line on my back where I hit the door frame. Had a laugh about it later but could have ended worse. Needless to say I have now covered the back patio area in table salt!
  15. I remember 2010/11 was more cold than snow, especially in Inverclyde. 2018 was a stonker!
  16. Can see it's sleet falling on car windy, minging horrible day yeuck?
  17. Just pishin pish here, well nothing much happening at all now!
