  1. Holy carp! look at that Polar Low http://www.sat24.com/en/eu
  2. Thanks, I like looking at these too: http://www.derbyshireheritage.co.uk/Menu/webcams/camlist.php Although a couple are well outdated / dont work, but you can see the time stamp/.
  3. Yup, thats true regarding dew points. It was 5C here in Manchester yesterday, and a dew point of -1C - it was snowing. Today it's been 2C and -1C dew point and as i'm sure you have seen, Manchester Airport had to close for a time due to pretty much 3-5 hours of heavy snow. Dew points is key.
  4. Thanks, that ties in with the Euro4 too for later on.
  5. Well those two Yorkshire men have a bit of egg on their face today !
  6. Well that sounds like fun! I'll be up there on Saturday :-) Many thanks for the update.
  7. What was Mam Tor like ? I go for my walks up there with the dog.
  8. Wind Direction is actually around 250° at manchester which is WSW / W
  9. Should last a while this, checking the radar there is the Manchester Streamer stretching from Ireland. Fun times.
  10. Pelting it down in Piccadilly, Manchester, visibility is very low. Sticking to all surfaces.
  11. Checking the radar it looks like more is on the way.
  12. Yup, looks like the NW is in PRIME position during this spell.
  13. Dew point just plummeted from 0c to -2c in the space of an hour.
  14. Yes, very marginal for anyone below 300m. Above that, you should be OK. Mon/Tues looking OK for low areas atm.
  15. Yes, nice to keep an eye on that, looks more like a Manchester Streamer in this flow tbh - albeit it's not really a streamer yet, but time will tell. Hopefully it is & develops through the night and could give *significant* snow, to low levels of course.
  16. To be honest, I wouldn't call it "proper" - We have had "some" snow, but not a lot, until later on anyways.
  17. Considering its 4C and it's been snowing, it bodes quite well actually. The showers don't really affect this area until later tonight and overnight either. 15m ASL Enjoy your snow later... If it makes it ;-)
  18. Snow in Manchester - very light, but a good sign. I heard a guy from over Yorkshire was saying it wouldn't snow in the North West ?
