  1. Starting to come down heavy again here now This is Pensby on the wirral earlier today......
  2. Yep, really surprised how much there is around here, looking at the traffic cams around the region it looks like we are getting the most if it! Now that's strange! Sticking nicely here too now it's gone dark.
  3. There must be a good 10cm+ in Pensby on the Wirral, just been to visit my dad, strange because 3 miles away towards the coast here in Moreton theres not a lot although its coming down thick and starting to stick. Just shows you what a difference of 80m elevation makes.
  4. This is right on the coast, so looking good for you guys further east http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/3654/sam1987i.jpg
  5. 3.6 and rising! Some rapid temperature increases going on here on the coast.
  6. Wow, my temperature has just shot up from 1.2c to 3.3c in the space of 5 mins! Its still rising and this is under clear skies. I'm thinking a change in wind direction bringing the warmth of the irish sea?
  7. Just seen a few flakes of snow here now and temperature has dropped ever so slightly to 0.2c now
  8. Still mostly rain here, but temperature has stalled at 0.4c so hopefully the rain may turn to snow for a while as the cold air diggs in and the heavier stuff arrives. Off to Manchester in a bit so I might see a few flakes there at least ! :~)
  9. Raining here too, temp climed a little to 0.4c and dew point -3.3c. Unless the heavier stuff gives this area some sleety wet snow, its all over here.
  10. A few splats of rain on the window here, temp is 0.1c and with a dew point of -3.4c ! Wind is picking up too.
  11. Some nice frequent snow showers clipping here since around midday. Hope the Cheshire gap streamer gets going tonight
  12. Been a sleety / light snow mix here for about 2hrs now. Temperature dropping slowly at 2.5c and a dewpoint of 0.7c. In desperate need of a drop in both dewpoint and temperature along with some heavier precipitation but I just carnt see it happening tonight to be honest.
  13. Very lite snow falling here, although i'm at my dads house about 5 miles inland at around 80m asl. Looks like that area of snow is intensifying to the east
  14. Nope I am too Snow falling just to the south west of me over the river Dee. Temperature is still falling here, albeit very slowly.
  15. Temperature is falling back slowly here now in the south of the region. Gone increasingly cloudy, expecting some light snow to fall shortly
  16. Current temp here is 3.1c dewpoint of -1.3c, I highly doubt the grass and ground temp is below -10c although I havent measured it Although my temperature is not conductive for snow I am expecting anything to fall to be snow as that nice dry continental air is keeping dewpionts low and the temperature will drop under any ppn.
  17. Just as I thought, those Pennines are draining every last flake from that band heading this way, its started to die away now, always the same
  18. They may have disabled it due to the sheer amount of users to the site, it says so in the top left corner of the page Edit: Snowingtequila beet me to it
  19. Yep I'm expecting that area of snow to eventually reach here but i'm sure those bloomin Pennines will drain most of the life out of them
  20. Yeah I think the only time we have had a good dumping of snow around here from the east is on a straight easterly. Showers from a north easterly just never reach this far. It does sound a bit though, from the video forcast on the BBC website, that they know something we don't. Heres hoping hey
  21. BBC predicting a more organised batch of snow in the north east to move south west into mid and north wales over night. Can anyone shed some light on this? Whats the chances of this effecting the south of our region? Cheers. Mark.
  22. -3.8c here right on the coast! Got down to -6.6c last night which was the lowest i've recorded, looks like it might be beaten tonight
  23. Sleety wet snow here aswell, dew point is dropping which is a good sign. I wonder if that second, more heavier band in mid wales will reach here? Here's hoping
  24. Looking good for tonight, turning increasingly to snow here now, and temp is dropping now at 3.7c
  25. Heavy sleet here at the moment, can see the splats of wet snow on the windscreen mixed in with the rain
