  1. Local media outlets are now responding to the threat Another local feed to north Essex http://www.maldonandburnhamstandard.co.uk/news/localnews/10859143.LIVE__North_Essex_coast_on_flood_alert/?ref=var_0
  2. That really, in a nutshell, shows the gravity of the situation. I've never seen so many reds and certainly not along the Blackwater and Crouch areas. I hope people take heed of these EA alerts in these areas.
  3. Some more feeds for those needing the latest updates http://www.telegraph.co.uk/topics/weather/10497522/UK-weather-warning-live.html http://www.edp24.co.uk/news
  4. Well yesterday was quite an event for a narrow slither of south Essex from Southend, Hockley, Rayleigh and parts of Castle Point. My post yesterday was rather prophetic. The intense tropical rain just kept coming. People in Chelmsford can't understand what the fuss was about which just goes to show how localised these severe rainfall events can be!
  5. It is amazing isnt it. I walked over the underpass shortly before its closure and people london bound were trying to squeeze through a river that was the underpass. Crazy
  6. Blimey! Always used to be a trouble spot during heavy rain until they did the drains. Not sufficient to cope with today's deluge. Traffic lights look like they gave up the ghost early!
  7. It is crazy and I suspect no-one else apart from a couple on here will believe you!!
