I'm not sure if anybody else has posted about it but I've found that on an iPad and iPhone, no matter what I enter as the location for the local forecast, the forecast is always given for the City of London.

I was initially annoyed yesterday to see the leafs of my strawberry tree cut to shreds thinking it was bugs but having looked it up and realised it was a leaf cutter bee, I'm actually quite pleased.

Never mind, it looks like it's going to be good though. I've never done so much radar watching during such dull weather.

Yes, great idea, my indication at the moment is a quick look at the "latest discussion on the forum" section of the home page. Less active times show something like now which is... Today's Weather And General Chat Growing Chillies The Whining Thread Model Output Discussion Cold Spell The Sum Up If there was something exciting happening in winter, there would be lots of Cold Spell discussions in there and if something was about to happen, the Model Output Discussion would be constantly at the top.

Been a slow but steady start here and looking good for a while yet, starting to get heavier now and give a covering on services that didn't have snow previously. Temp is 0.1C

I can't see anything significant here tomorrow, I suspect it will snow for a time, perhaps heavy too but wet snow which is not likely to settle, possibly just a bit slushy about.

I suspect it's probably just north of here, there is some more ppn coming up towards us from Southampton way, but I suspect the energy has ran out now and won't amount to much but might be pleasantly suprised, shan't be staying up to find out though.

Looking at the radar, it looks like it is going to just miss us here, unless it intensifies on it's southern end any more.

Looking at the direction the heavy ppn behind it is heading, probably not but that could change.

Looking better for here in south Wiltshire now, the snow is heading more NNW from the south coast and heading this way though not looking very heavy.

Unable to post image at moment but watching the nw radar, there is a small area of ppt just north of IOW which shot across from east to west whereas everything else is heading north.

Wow, BBC weather really looks quite bad here, just when I thought it was going to be the only place to not have snow.

I've just come back from a friends house 2 miles north of here where they had a very slight dusting of snow from that line of showers. Nothing here though, the radar images below are just typical...

Strange thing with the N-W radar, when viewing as UK, the precipitation type is not correct, it seems to be accurate if switching to Euro view. Raining here by the way.

In the middle of some really heavy rain at the moment and several lightning strikes, wasn't expecting that.
