Hi all, Been a while since posting here. Thursday Night I sat in my car watching endless IC and CC lightning for 5 hours. All I had was my iPhone and a battery pack, the footage was pretty much useless and all of the lightning was out of focus. Ive always wanted to see large hail in the uk and Thursday night I got what I wanted with dents in my car roof ! A mixture of marble size, pea size and some golf balls thrown in. Im 45, but on Thursday night I was 15, giddy and stupid, im also a bit Mad. The stones you might be able to see bouncing on the tarmac up to the kerbstones were about 20-25 feet away, but I was so utterly immersed in the whole event I forgot to get out of the car and pick some up....doh ! Hi, I hope its ok to ask this question in this forum, if not them im sorry for breaking forum rules. Could Fridays storms produce lightning of the "dangerous positive charged tree destroying, house exterminating variety" ? Im looking forward to it immensely and hope to be directly under it. Thanks

Thanks for letting me know Mark, I thought oxford was getting a decent size snow shower earlier, shame. Herts snow watch, well and truly cancelled, on to the next cold spell if and when it happens.

Oh well, I will now mostly not be on herts snow watch today / tonight. Hope kent gets some decent snow.

Well this is, to be honest, a bit laughable. Tiny amounts of snow, plenty of no snow and yet this thread is still really busy
