Anyone know what how that perfectly round very small area of cloud has formed over Portugal/ close to the Spanish border?

when it gets really hot in the interior is normal to happen the formation of those clouds at the end of the day with the humidity of the air ? and it can rain with 40ºc

29ºc at 8am in lisbon, today is expected to be the hottest day in history for most of the country, I am not sure if the european record will be beaten.

yesterday the highest temperature registered was 45,9ºc, but today will be +-2ºc higher

30c overnight in Faro, already 39c in Sevilla (11:00am).

not 30ºc overnight in faro, saturday will get the highest overnights they are saying highest temperature was 45,2ºc today

  4. portugal in the last 30years had been the country with most fires and most area burned and last year it had more area burned than all european coutries combined, of course there were warnings but it was over 40ºc that day and because of that weather a downburst also formed and helped spread the fire very fast. Every year is the same thing because we have the wrong trees and not enough control in winter of the forests.

  5. I was talking about weather in all the country, south had a good summer because we had a lot days with northwest wind and the wind needs to pass to the interior before going to the south so it reachs there a lot warmer, for example 6th august had 35ºc in faro but lisbon just had 27ºc and porto 23ºc on that day, (curiosity faro had the coldest july maximum recorded) If you have been here after 4th sept we were already affected by a depression, normally first rains just come between late sept and late oct but this year was extremely early.

I don't understand your question it can rain even with 40ºc

You chosen the best time of the year if you wanted 25ºc with warm nights =)

  6. I'm in albufeira just now and have been since 14th sept weather's been good temps 23-26c mostly sunny breezy you can see inland maybe about 20 miles or so the big anvil clouds kinda wished we had some of lisbons action hear but sunburn and prickly heat it is

humm 23-26ºc is cold for september we are not in the north of europe :p, today it will rain in the center of the country but we never know where it will go and maybe you will have luck ;).

  7. Unlike most of the world portugal is having a cold year, this summer is considered the 2nd coldest of last 25 years.

Also a lot more rain than usual for summer, two days ago some places already had 5times the normal quantity of precipitation for september but the problem is during these days it came even more and is more to come!

Today it rained a bit here in my dog zone he run away but his food plate and some stuff were floating

all in the last 2 hours
