    Well, never have I seen so much rainfall on radar, and local rain curtains, rainbows, and yet very, very little rain getting to the ground, amazing!!!

    Elevated intra cloud/inter cloud?? Maybe, Lightning detectors have trouble picking it up? (So I have been told many times) That could be the answer to your question....

    That large area of Orange yellow purple rain heading our way has the heaviest (pinks/purples) actually not moving into the channel, it stalls on the coast as the other colours edge ever close to the UK.....

    Shocked as well, how far away were you when you shot this? Can't believe how many people are just sitting/standing around watching/filming it all.... Surely, that was damn dangerous, was it coming towards you? That was an absolute belter.....!!!

    Slightly off topic, so an apology, and move if you see fit... Looking through NW thunderstorm archives, any posts going back onto the 00's seem to have dead links to photos/videos, or photos/videos no longer there....... Are these images/videos available anywhere?? SS

    Perhaps they are playing the odds? We've not had a hard winter for a few years now, so the next one must be nearer, rather than further away...

    A "Plume" event, and little interest on here at the moment? Looks like the Midlands to get the fireworks, Leicesters Lightning shield being switched on as I type, it needs a warm up as nothing of any significance has really tested it this yr....

    Yea, some warm humid air coming out of France? 32c to 34c there, might get southern/central UK up to around 29c to 30c Tuesday/Wednesday... Might trigger some electrical activity...

    So, some activity in the channel, and just off south coast, now accuweather rain radar has the showers moving North'ish (albeit very casually) and on rain alarm, it's moving slightly more of a north east direction.. Not sure which to trust, can't seem to load netweather rain radar to corroborate...?

    So what do you think about this Nibiru/Planet X? Is there any truth in it? Perhaps not what they are saying it is, but a rogue planetary body orbiting our Sun, but on a different plane, and not curcular orbit, perhaps an orbit that takes it way out of the usual planetary orbits, and possible close encounter with the Sun or Earth every 20,000 years or more? We wouldn't have been around for the last encounter, would we..........? Surely would have some effect on weather, etc.......

    Yes, well, been off the forum since last week, been getting to excited/worried about thundery activity again coming my way, so decided not to worry myself endlessly over what might or might not be Thunderstorm wise.. The plume from Spain is now a bit of a non event thanks to subtle changes and a shower or two that may or may not be thundery is about my expected barrowload!! I see Sunspot activity has again been mentioned alongside thunderstorms.... What's the general consensus over their effect on the Worlds weather?

    BBC Weather intimated of some warmer weather over the weekend, and warming further in the early part of next week, in fact I'm sure they said last night that we could have some high numbers next week....? Any truth..... no, is their much confidence in this warm-up?

    Ok, here is the situation at approx 23:15 Tuesday 19th July 2016 over the UK.... West of Ireland, North West England, South West Scotland having action at the moment.... Also, keep an eye on the cell moving north east out of Biscay... Is it strong enough to make landfall over Cornwall? And then press on into the Midlands....!! Perhaps..!
