    Not a lover of wind storms. They normally take the power out. Also who's bright idea was to have pylons by a schools near trees?

    I didn't get woken up by the thunder, i was already awake. Lovely massive big boom too. Then nothing for a bit, then a fair bit of lightning, booms and very heavy rain. outside smelt lovely. Woke the house up running around like a demented buffoon. great stuff.

    I did that when we were having storms past us but i was still getting some rain. Humid, thunder, wind some rain. lovely.

    It absolutely chucked it down here, i haven't seen rain like it for a while. I was a lovely, bedraggled wet mess for my dentist appointment. rockin.

    Autumn is a great time of year, getting away from the heat of summer, looking forward to the first snow. The changing leaves are stunning. I can remember going to Lewes Bonfire every year and always treating myself to a new jumper. Never remember feeling too cold, although that might of been all the fires. However when i was small i used to have Bonfire night round my nans and we always would have soup in a mug watching the fireworks. I think the seasons have definitely shifted.

    gutted it got worse, but i can safely say what i did have was the best storm so far this year.

    storms passing me left right but unfortunately not center. But i think thats better, can enjoy the thunder without getting too wet.

    The storm just missed me by miles, and it was constant thunder. Yeah i can put up with a bit of heat if mother nature is kind like this Just for infos, i was watching the MK storm and there was a rotation of sorts on it.

    Yes this thread is been a bit tumble weed this year, a good thing i hope. I've been out for a while as i had some thunder the other day. Hopefully will get my heat thread back next year and that will be just as dead!

    well here we are in September, and it looks like summer hasn't thrown in the towel.... yet mind you i have missed the plumes this year and the radar watching, although i have had *some* storms. didn't really have a real hum dinger. maybe it will snow again in December.
