    Still quite calm here. Most people here have moved from hurricane warning areas. This hotel is full as they take pets. Loads of dogs here

    I can run but I can't hide. Currently in hurricane warning area. Moving to west coast which was ok but now under tropical storm watch as well. So will just have to hope it is not too bad.

    At coco beach now surf is up. Still a lot of uncertainty here as to the track. Been advised to fill up rental car and buy food as everything shuts for a few days.

    News reports here say major cat 3 hurricane will hit central Florida. Eye should stay offshore but will effect all of East coast Florida. Warnings expected late morning here. Time where I am is 8.40 am should have warnings issued by 10 am. I am not staying around to see this one come in lol

    State of emergency declared in all states of Florida. Governor issued it to enable evacuation and shelter to be available. Track has moved slightly West again. I have to admit I am worried. I have to drive from Orlando to Ft Myers Friday am. But Matthew is due to hit here Thurs night.

    Matthew seems to want to come visit me in Florida. Going to be driving from Orlando to ft Myers Friday so hope I can make it. Rain here is insane humid loads of storms.

    Hi all sitting on balcony half mile from Disney in Florida. Keeping an eye on Matthew. Big storm happening at the moment with flash flood warnings for my area. People here are not too phased by its impact on Orlando. So am interested to be here to see what develops later on next week.

    Looks like lots have had some storms last night but not me. Had a bit of rain the patio is damp on the edges and the rain is passing to the west of me. Would be surprised if I gat anything worth while here lol. But my garden needs it so much.
