  1. Harry's House Yes, my barometer was somewhere between 'Rain' and 'Stormy' the whole weekend, despite the sunny weather outside!
  2. Another sunny Spring day. Not as warm as yesterday - 14.1C the max - but still feeling very pleasant in the sun. A completely different weekend weather-wise to what we were expecting.
  3. Glorious day - sunshine, blue skies and a gentle breeze. 13.6C currently. Good day for drying the washing...
  4. alexisj9 Max today was 10.7C but like many others have commented, it felt much colder than that. Once you got cold today, it was difficult to get warm again.
  5. As others have noted, colder than expected with a noticeable frost. Overnight low of -1.9C. And I don’t think we can be considered a frost hollow, here on the coast…
  6. Sun rising with a clear blue sky, but temperature is at 5C. Quite a contrast to the -5 this time yesterday…
  7. I was surprised to see an overnight low of -6.3C - that's unusual on the coast. In fact, the coldest overnight for us since Jan 2009.
  8. Surprised by just how cold and raw it feels today, with virtually no wind. 1.7C at the moment, the lowest for 24 hours.
  9. Nothing in Brighton beyond wet pavements and roads yesterday. Quite a surprise arriving home further West on the train. Still looking nice this morning.
  10. To which I could also add hail, and then sunshine and blue skies! Temperature dropping fast this evening - down to 5.3C now.
  11. Pressure just starting to rise again now - 957mb. Blue sky and sunshine at the moment.
  12. 955.7mb and almost calm with steady rain. Ready for things to change though!
  13. Can relate to that. The whole thing was a complete surprise to us, and I can still remember it gradually dawning on us that something major had happened as it started to get light. Our only source of information was the BBC local radio station - on a battery radio, as the power had gone off! Quite a contrast to today...
  14. Different conditions today compared to yesterday. Then we had frequent heavy showers with clear gaps between. For much of the night we have had continuous heavy rain, still continuing at the moment. 19mm so far since midnight.
  15. 19.4C the high for us today with warm sunshine, blue sky and calm conditions. Like a summer's day on the South Downs - what an amazing contrast with what's happening in other parts of the UK today.
  16. Weirdly, that's exactly what we've just experienced here. It feels really mild outside, far more than the actual temp might suggest. 15.6mm the rain total for us from this afternoon's efforts.
