    Yeah, that looks like it. Seemed like it was hitting one of the council high rises, but it could have just been a fortuitous alignment from where I was standing.

    Just been told that the post office next to Victoria Square in the city centre has had to close due to flooding (not the post office I went to, by the way!).

    I saw one too, maybe the same one? Almost looked like it hit a tower block from my viewpoint.

    These cloud tops could actually be the storm over in Wales.

    Just had a lovely flash and crack of thunder. Look like yet another storm building in the distance.

    Managed to run to the Post Office and back before the next downpour started.

    I must admit I thought we were only going to get showers when I looked at the radar this morning.

    Have had a good storm here- absolutely bucketed down and nice rumbles of thunder, particularly after the deluge had passed, including one very close hit!

    The stuff heading towards Leicester is certainly giving a better display of horizon spanning lightning here, it's simply stunning!

    All the sferics for this storm are passing to the north of me, so getting bands of torrential rain, but see little in the way of lightning, and no thunder heard yet.

    Managed to get footage of the shelf cloud as it passed over, but for now, here some stills from it. Sorry for the quality- I can take good nighttime photos, but not video.
