  1. At last the rain is giving up for a bit, a really wild night strong N.E. Wind now. Had a lot of drifting rain in the night. Surely March will be drier.
  2. snowray Channel lows used to give us heavy snowfall in this neck of the woods. But the change of Climate has put an end to all that.
  3. Another channel low giving us rain , after a frosty clear start. As i mentioned before the start of Winter the sea temps are so high. Had more rain then we possibly need, looking forward to a drier Spring.
  4. Glad I cut the lawn yesterday. Heavy rain here this morning, looking forward to the springlike day tomorrow. Another lunch outside in the garden hopefully.
  5. The weather here yesterday was so springlike, sat in the sun in the garden having lunch, not even a coat on, never can i remember such an early springlike weather event. Today started very foggy, some sunshine now but only 11c compared to yesterday afternoon of 16c.

  7. Had a lovely sunny day again yesterday, with the frost staying in the shade all day. Warmed up this morning the frost has gone overnight, but its a cloudy overcast and dull start. Hope that rain in the channel dives into France. As the garden has dried out a lot over the past week.
  8. Totally fantastic day working in the garden today. The sun had some good warmth to it, seeing as its mid winter. We did get up to 5C. 41F. Here In East Dene hoping for more of the same till the weekend, when the Atlantic swings back into action. Still we should see some more sunshine in February.
  9. No chance of any snow here near the coast on Wednesday the sea temps will turn any sleet to rain quickly.
  10. Lovely and clear here this morning. 2 or 3 days of fine sunny weather to look forward too. Chance for the garden to dry out.
  11. We had some sleet and dancing dandruff showers , leaving a small trace here and there. The skies got some clear bits now and the air is much drier. Hopefully some sunshine for Tuesday and Wednesday, and the forecast is for less cold end too the week.
  12. Sleet here in East Dene, only call it snow when it settles. Very dull today, but looking forward to sunny skies tomorrow.
  13. Very wet here all day in East Dene, some heavy rain too at times. Love these dark early evenings.
  14. The sea temps are so high around 3 degrees above normal, so mild Atlantic airmass win easily every time. Any snow will turn to rain with ease. Plenty of snow in the Alps, to keep them happy.
  15. Had some very hefty showers here in East Dene again this morning, due to the very warm sea temps. Yesterday we had warm sunshine, even had lunch in the garden. Cheers and good health to you all.
  16. Torrential showers all day here, we have had far too much rain now. When I was a boy, many years ago Bonfire night were often cold and frosty, we had too wear gloves and wooly hats. Now it seems wellington boots are needed. It is such a shame the climate has changed so much.
  17. Looking ahead to winter, one thing is for sure with the sea temps being so much above normal, any marginal snow/rain events will bring rain. So we can look forward to mainly mild or warm spells with nil snow and probably little frost in the ground.
  18. Lovely rain at last, the drought is over.
  19. Had a super thunder storm last night here in East Dene, started around mid night lasted till 2am lots of lightning but very little rain. Very warm again this morning.
  20. Good thunderstorm rolled in from France around midnight, at last some rainfall for the parched garden. First rain here in Ease dene since the first week of May.
  21. I Think that when you look at how much farmland has been replaced by concrete, and thousands of houses being built omitting heat, no wonder the climate has changed.
  22. You are so right, we had zero rainfall here in East Dene since May 8th. But A thunderstorm rolled in around midnight, which gave some rainfall at last. 2 hours at least, until I Fell asleep at 2am. But Our climate has becoming much drier in the summer and hotter. But we seem to have a new monsoon season from late November to March.
  23. Another fine early summers day, the cloud and storms stayed to the west and north west. Clear blue skies and very warm , lets hope more of the same tomorrow. We have not had any rain now since the first week of May.
  24. Another cool cloudy day of only sunny spells. Temp is struggling. Where is this global warming. Sick of constant cool wind in the Spring.
  25. Wet sleet here in Eastdene, large sleet flakes , as the saying goes the larger the flakes the warmer the air is, so they melt before touchdown. We need a nice warm sunny day to follow.
