  1. Data suggests that the developing El Nino looks similar to the 1997 one which was one of the most potent El Nino events of the 20th century!

      Looks to be W-C-W banding in the Atlantic at present too which is a positive sign for a tripole re-emerging towards winter time.

      I think (hope!) a repeat of last Winter is very unlikely. It was very unusual and not just a typical mild snowless Winter.
