  1. Getting the same problem as Gavin here on Google Chrome, use CCleaner regularly and problem wasn't cleared.
  2. Haha, I doubt it this time. It's a shame that the GFS doesn't want to break a lot out over this area but further north, again not sure how thundery this will be, but things will most likely change to hopefully be more favourable for all parts instead of the Irish Sea... Feel free, wouldn't mind meeting you! Thanks, it's a great place for thunderstorm watching! Yeah, it's looking good, I'm not getting my hopes up, though looks like if we do get anything, it will be quite severe!
  3. Hi Paul, Thanks for reopening the thread to us, was just wondering what the team's current thoughts were on the chat room? When is it likely to be open again? Is it only going to be open during weather events? If so, would these events need to be on a very severe scale?
  4. Interesting at how warm it is across Ireland currently, a lot warmer than most places, very bizzare! Not really getting hopes up too much, but if the charts still look like this on Monday, I will be excited!
  5. A bit off topic, but my 18th is on Wednesday, looks like there could be an MCS for my birthday, seems very likely now as shown by the ECM and UKMO models!
  6. To be honest, we had some great thunderstorms last month so I'm not praying for them this time, but it would be nice especially on Wednesday for my 18th! Ok, I'll shut up now.
  7. There have never been thunderstorms on my birthday, so it would be a first, though I'm not getting my hopes up.
  8. Latest ECM and UKMO run showing a very good thunderstorm potential on my birthday, and it's not too far away (20th), that would be a brilliant 18th!
  9. Some really torrential downpours just south of here, won't be surprised if I hear a rumble of thunder soon.
  10. Day 1 Convective Outlook VALID 06:00 UTC Mon 11 Jul 2016 - 05:59 UTC Tue 12 Jul 2016 ISSUED 21:58 UTC Sun 10 Jul 2016 ISSUED BY: Dan A messy situation once again on Monday with a mixture of dynamic and convective precipitation, as various old occlusions / troughs pivot eastwards in the flow. There is scope late morning / early afternoon that some heavy showers may develop across E / SE Scotland and NE England, before clearing eastwards out across the North Sea during the afternoon - a low chance of thunder with this. Farther south, late initiation (late afternoon into the evening) seems possible as a couple of convergence zones develop; one from SE Wales - Midlands - East Anglia, and another just inland from the south coast curving NE towards SE London / Thames Estuary, provide the focus for scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. 20-30kts DLS should allow some cells to become organised, with the potential for some gusty winds and perhaps some small hail. http://www.convectiveweather.co.uk/forecast.php?date=2016-07-11
  11. Not getting any hopes up, but lets say by the start of next week, we should've had a thunderstorm!
  12. Yeah, I've seen, I was just looking at the forecast for Heathrow and it only suggested 21°C.
  13. I was looking at the recent observations, but couldn't see it reachings the high 20's later, what's your problem?
  14. @Ben Sainsbury, that's not a funnel cloud either, as @Flash bang flash bang etc says, it's just some scud cloud.
  15. @Pursuer of Storms, that's what I'd call just a bit of cloud sticking out of the bottom of the cloud.
  16. Looks like the SE has taken off big time, was not expecting that!
  17. Quite convective skies here to say how rubbish the charts look, may get a few heavy downpours soon, not expecting any to be electrified though.
  18. Netweather as a whole incredibly slow this morning, but radar resolution is very poor across SW England this morning, just thought I'd let you guys know.
