Four in a row, four in a row.

    Hello!

    Hello!

Four in a row, four in a row. (Sunny, warm days that is. Thought I'd bring a bit of chav into the proceedings.)

Temperature 14.8deg.C down from a maximum of 16.5deg.C at 14:24 and up from a minimum of 0.3deg.C at 06:26, humidity is 66%, wind 0 to 3mph generally southerly, pressure is 1034.5hPa steady, there's been no rain in the last 24hours and cloud cover has varied from 1/8 to 3/8 throughout the day.

It’s looking very likely that the atmosphere is going to crash in spectacular fashion before we reach 10 in a row

another lovely  day here although only managed 16c today down from the scorching 19c yesterday

Breaking: Italy report 3,590 new cases and 368 new deaths

total now 24,747 cases and 1,809 deaths

So we’re talking about roughly 1 death to every 13 positive test that is a massive difference from china’s positive tests  to death ratio

  3. 1st post on this topic so please excuse my ignorance. I have been lurking in here for a while and reading most of the posts it really does sound like the end is nigh.honestly anyone with even slight anxiety worries should avoid this place and other media outlets like the plague.

presuming that I have got the numbers right China with a population of of 1.36 billion have about 85000 positive tests and unfortunately 3500 have perished.from those kind of numbers I really don’t see the need for the extreme measures and panic.

In general I am very relaxed about most things but have to admit the coverage of this virus is of the scale and making me a little bit nervous

The BBC used to be the gold standard AAA+ when it came to the weather but if this turns out wrong they're scraping a ZZZ- at best and only cos that's as low as my random rating system goes.

Couldn’t agree more catch thought it was just nostalgia.just the other day they had nearly all of Scotland north of Glasgow covered in snow with temperatures of 9c I mean what the actual F is that all about.Back in the golden generation Macaskil .Fish.Giles to name but a few you just knew that the 1snowflake symbol with all the country covered in the rain symbols meant snow above 3000ft

Rant over away for a nice 16oz popeseye (rump in England) steak and chips

Just watched the latest BBC forecast and they are still predicting +85mph gusts for central Scotland this evening. I don’t see it happening myself but who knows?

Probably the same recording they’ve been showing since 7am this morning. Another example of how lame the bbc has become I really cannot believe you can get a criminal record for not paying for this utter tosh.

oh and the weather here in the trossachs is pretty standard February fare

Quick way to de-ice a car.

Pour cold water over your windscreen and stick on your wipers.

    Takes seconds.

And if you stand on the right hand side of the car with the wipers set on auto you get a nice cold shower as well which I found out last week

sorry for being of topic has anyone got all season tyres fitted to their car and if so any good recommendations size 245 45 19 T.I.A

Ecmwf is awful, even for us. Way too mild for snow

At least there is  a chance of getting some kind of weather.

What a strange winter it has been hardly any rain here in west stirlingshire hardly any wind a couple of skiffs of snow some frosts and even a few sunny days probably about the most boring winter I can remember SO FAR.

Loved the photo from the top of Ben venue @bienviroment the other day

The rain has now turned rather sleety here and the temp is still falling very slowly - down to 2.5C (ish). Promises well for the morning

Where's our resident Crieffer got to??

There’s a rumour going around that the mods tracked down his i.p address then jumped in a car with duct tape and cable ties ❄️

  9. In my honest opinion Netweather is by far and away the best free to view weather website on the net. And if you choose to pay a small fee to upgrade it then it’s even better.

The knowledge that I’ve picked up from it is invaluable to myself over the past 5 years or so.especially now seeing the absolute crud that the bbc and the like serves up.

just like any banter there’s a time and a place for it .If I want a laugh I’ll pop into this thread and if I want to try and further my knowledge of the weather then it’s over to the mod thread.

I certainly wouldn’t like to be a mod at this time of year . Personally I think they do a difficult job well
