  1. Just had a very brief shower in Norwich (NR3) - soft hail/snow combo - everything now white. Merry Xmas everyone
  2. Who let this lot in? We wont be nice to you and you don't have to be nice to us - deal? Anyway, 4 cms in Norwich (NR3)overnight, wind whipping the lying snow around, currently -2. Its going to be down at The Fortress this afternoon!
  3. Snowing nicely again in Norwich - seems to have been a slight change in wind direction which has pushed a couple of showers our way Either that or its a Wensum streamer setting up
  4. From our office you could see the showers out to the East earlier - assumed Gt Yarmouth, Lowestoft & anywhere nearby would be getting pummelled Roads in Norwich are OK under the circumstances, and the airport was running earlier (can hear the planes take off from here when having a smoke in the garden!). Guess it depends what we get overnight, we've just caught a shower here which has covered cleared areas
  5. Yeah I'm actually surprised they've not split the threads up in the same way they split the regions up on the Met Website. That would officially put Northants in an East Midlands thread, Bucks in the London & South East England thread & include Suffolk & Essex in the EA Thread Actually come to think of it, keep those dirty Suffolkers out And back to the weather, moderate snow now falling in The Fine City
  6. Welcome one, welcome all & welcome "hare" to the East Anglian thread In total this week we've had about 10cm (estimate allowing for a bit of melt/compaction etc) in my part of Norwich (NR3), one very heavy shower today about 08:45 and a few flurries. It's amazing how many showers today have gone east or west of Norwich itself Look East forecast this evening had it looking good for tomorrow night/Sunday - warning of Heavy Snow (with the heaviest in the east, her words not mine!) from Sat Evening right through Sunday Heres hoping the lovely Julie has nailed it for a change! WtC
  7. Snow now virtually stopped in Norwich - 2.8cm in total (the best we've done out of this cold spell) Maybe another cm or so later if those showers behind continue on the same track
  8. First significant sized flakes now blowing in the wind in Norwich
  9. Rain/Sleet in Norwich - snow cover from last night disappearing fast
