Ok, this is getting pretty serious now can't see anyone moving off our road today unless the gritters come down here! Doesn't bother me though, i'm loving it haha! I have no idea how the wall in tront of our house has about 8 inches on it. There is around 4-5 inches on the pavements but that wall makes it look even better -

I was going to make a joke about how you will settle for 5 inches but I won't (Or maybe I just did? ) Mods... Please don't hurt me Anyway, yes, Northamptonshire has done very well from this so far and this is only the beginning really! This is supposed to be sticking around for another 6 hours or longer! -

Thanks! Current scenes from my bedroom window in Rushden... I swear I just saw a snowman flying through the air with a young child. Then again, in this day and age, that could seem a bit dodgy -

It's early days yet though dude, this band is meant to be sticking around for another 6 or so hours! If it stalls and pivots, Stoke will have continuous light-moderate snow during that time. Besides, did you not see any snow from those showers the other day/night? We got zilch from that here! -

What are the roads like? My girlfriend works near the sky dome. She's currently staying with me this weekend but she's hoping that it will be too unsafe to travel to work tomorrow morning so she can have a snow day wonder if she'll get away with it. Hope she can because i'm not working till tomorrow night! -

I think one of your neighbours may have got snow blindness and put the bins out on a Sunday morning -

Got around 2-3cm here already and that's just from light-moderate stuff falling in the past hour and a half. I'll take some pics once it gets light. Funny thing is, our road was gritted at about 9pm last night and the snow has just been like 'no ***** given' and settled on it with no problem fat load of good that gritter did! -

Why? Not bad news is it? if so, I don't wanna know. Let me live in ignorance!! The Precip type radar on Netweather shows fairly accurately where the snow is falling at the moment. I'm glad I don't live in Oxford anymore, i'd be tearing my hair out! Look at how close they are to the snow line... I'd have probably gone loopy if i'd missed out on heavy snow by about 5-10 miles -

Lmao! I remember the day it blew up in Dec 2010, just before Christmas. It was my Grandad's last Christmas with us and it snowed around 3-4 inches a few days before christmas day and stuck around for about a week, was beautiful. It did seemingly get repaired and was breached again in Jan 2013 but this time, it's going to need some major repair work again -

Oi, mr pessimistic! I know how you feel, I used to live under snow shield in Leicester and we used to miss out on the snow when everywhere around us used to get it. However, i'm here to inform you that this band of snow WILL reach stoke. In fact it should be about to snow in Stoke right now. Look, I have proof and everything... -

Wow, Witney has an inch?! I spoke to my uncle yesterday who lives in Kennington and he asked me if they would see any snow. I told him "unfortunately Oxford itself looks a bit too far South. You will most likely see rain/sleet" Well, looks like I may end up with egg on my face with that forecast I've just woken up and I can confirm that we have SNOWWWW here in Rushden (Northamptonshire). Only light at the moment but settling on all surfaces! This baby looks set in as well looking at the radar -

That ties in well with the GFS chart I posted earlier. Really don't know what the North Midlanders are worrying about. I'd rather be in Derby/Notts than my current location of Northamptonshire in this situation. Less borderline than here. -

Well, if it stays the way it is now and the mild sector doesn't shift North by 50 miles or so, I reckon Northants could be in a bit of a sweet spot! 10-15cm -

Honestly, i'm not too sure why people in the North Midlands are so downbeat. It looks like PPN will make it as far North as Yorkshire and will be sticking around for a while so i'd expect a good 5-10cm for areas like Staffordshire and Stoke. There, i'm sticking my neck out with a prediction! If i'm right, thank me tomorrow -

Lmao! AJ! How's it going dude? Nice to see some old faces still around hoping we get a decent amount in Rushden. Could go very well or be just on the wrong side of borderline, we shall see!
