  1. The more C02 that gets realesed into our atmosphere, the cooler our weather becomes, and that is a fact! The less the warmer it gets. Scientists are fooling us into actually believing to cut down on our ommisions etc, but that would only back there rubbish theories on global warming and get allsorts of research paid for by governments. Were being fooled and were falling for it big time. Global warming? No such thing. Climate change? Yes.
  2. Seeing as the models cannot determine whether it will be snow or rain, I'd go for a safe bet and say that London & the south east get nothing but sleety snow, then turning readily to rain by midday, and nothing but a washout ! This is based on experience, I can never forget a few years ago when on South East news one evening on a Wednesday, the BBC were predicting a very heavy and persistant spell of snow for the whole of the eastern region running up to East Anglia and the midlands and southern England from the east on the Thursday, with Peter Cockcroft in Kent with snowploghers and gritters at the ready reporting on the event which once we woke up to it, it was sleet, then rain, and no snow whatsoever. The BBC actually apologised on the weather for this region on the Thursday, and said that the system that was due to cause a spell of snow actually originated from the Baltics and it was picking up warmish moist air on it's path and resulting in nothing but a endless rain and sleety mix once it hit british soil. A Massive let down to snowlovers in the South East that time, and I can only predict this again for us I'm afraid. I have no doubt that: Far South of England will see: Sleet early on, then readily rain through the late morning. South West England: Heavy Snow readily turning to rain by mid/late morning. Wales: Heavy Snow then sleety rain for the south of wales, though Northern Wales getting some prolonged heavy snow fizzling out in the early afternoon. Midlands: Heavy and persistant sleet & snow until late afternoon, then fizzling out to sleet and rain. South East: Sleety rain, then drizzle. East Anglia & Suffolk: Heavy sleet & snow lasting to around mid/late afternoon, turning more patchy with sleet in late afternoon. North West England: Gridlock for much of the day, with heavy and persistant snow lasting much of the day. North East England: Gridlock again, with heavy and persistant snow, fizzling out during the late afternoon. Southern Ireland: Heavy snow, quickly turning to sleet then rain for mid morning. Northern Ireland: Snow arriving early afternoon turning readily to sleet and rain by late afternoon. That is my view, and also for the relentless Atlantic to take over once again, for zonality and mildish westerlies with showers of rain and sleet in the North. Cold outlook I feel though beyond this. Warm Regards, Gregg
  3. THE FORECAST ON COUNTRYFILE WON'T BE TO ENCOURAGING, I'M TELLING YOU ! IT WILL PUT A DAMPNER ON THINGS. WITHOUT EVEN WATCHING IT, THEY'LL SIT FIRMLY ON THE FENCE.
  4. Gregg - have a look at the Hadley stats and then come back. There are good arguments against GW. Yours isn't even close to being one of them. It looks for all the world as if it's simply driven by conspiracy theory (hence your completely irrelevant reference to bird flu).
  5. I don't personally believe in global warming. I think global warming is a distraction to the real truth about our weather. The truth is, our weather is the same as it's ever been, cold in the winter, warm in the spring, warm/hot in the summer, and mild in the autum. There have been very mild winters of the past before real effects of ommisions from human and industrial effects ever realistically looked to take any kind of toll in this world. I believe the government and other authoritities, large busineses such as electricity, and gas, oil, airlines are just out to save on reserves, and make more money on the free resources of this great world. Call these people greedy, call these people liars ! There out to just deflect the real truth in all this. We as the people of this world are the pawns on a large chess board being fooled into actually believing this crap, and saving on our general appliances in our homes and at work to just what ? Save the planet ? Nah mate, to save the rich from there precious money ! I know this is strong oppinion, and most won't probably agree, I mean look at this winter, it's been very mild thus far. But look at last year ! The whole of eastern europe was beyond frozen, and this winter was extrodinary. If we had global warming now, we had it last year then ! Theres no such thing. Theres no such thing as bird flu neither ! Since when were we humans classed as birds ? But when a human gets the flu and dies from it, then it's bird flu ! Ah well, lets see now, Febuary will produce snow for us, don't you worry about that, winter will be winter very soon, and global warming will be ignored for a while. Regards, Gregg
  6. Ahhhh ! Feb 1991. I remember the first snow flake that hit the ground, or should I say, " Bounced off the ground " Tremendous memories from that period.
  7. It could follow a nasty 2006/07 winter ? Like 1976 summer and winter. Lets hope so. Warm Regards, Gregg
  8. Hello Snow ! Welcome to London. A Welcome sight of the white stuff. At last something to look forward to in the coming days ahead. Snowing light to moderate all morning thus far, a little rain & sleet thrown in as well. Hoping tonight brings something more significant
  9. Big Snow event for Eastern England and Scotland for a good 4-6 hours ! Sounds good, then sleet, and eventually rain. Can we really expect something special, even for only a few hours ? The BBC issued a Emergency weather warning at 21:30 this evening, very unusual for them. Any views ?
  10. Blue skies & Sunny here in North London ! We have got a curse here when the threat of snow is upon us ! The clouds come over us, and say " Bugger this, we'll go somewhere else " Expecting Wintry Showers, but only a few during this afternoon. Current temps: 4.3c Windchill: 1.3c
