The uppers being quoted are four to five days away? I don’t see why people need to stop looking.
The cold spell for next week is nailed on - potent North Westerly is incoming and the majority of members currently posting charts live in the areas most likely to be seeing the heavy and frequent hail/sleet/snow/thunder showers.
What is there to be miserable about? I can’t wait for it arrive.
Living south of the M4 and seeing all this snow chat and knowing your going to miss out again

Hi,
There’s little point going into detail at this stage too far out, but it’s one of those slider low scenarios. A more classic case low being deflected SE due to blocking high to NE and that amplification in the Atlantic aiding this. Ahead of the low the wind is coming off cold continent meaning good dew points, onshore wind so this may limit snow chances for coastal areas. I would expect it to be all snow away from coastal areas uppers are fine and the extreme south west knocker land, I think it’s plausible for there to be a significant snow event in next 7-10 days.
Thats great Thank you for taking the time to reply! Hope your right

The next of any model is the Icon which his out very soon (but that's a bin fodder model), the next proper model is the GFS, 9-30 until 11 - steadily trickles out.
Ok thank you for that - no idea what the models mean, but am strangely addicted anyway. Judging by the reactions to the last one it's looking good, lets hope the pub run one continues the trend

When does the next model come out please, is it about ten? Thanks

Must be one of the daftest warnings i'v seen - 1-2cm above 200m is just embarrassing. I think even those estimates are overcooked as cant really see too much settling going on
To be fair the warning is mainly for black ice

intresting forecast, I know he says the top third of the country will see snow, but a slight shift south and we could be in luck.
