  1. I too wondered in hearing there were some festive dangling twigs and berries to behold. Like karlos1983.. not brave or merry enough for the MAD thread. Besides looks just fine here now for this week .. Wednesday night stil looking bitter .. but snow potential a zero for me? Question is it the really thick winter outdoor rug for the horse yet?
  2. After todays deluge on the south coast for sure it will be devasting.. the ground is beyond saturated. i really hope it tracks further south nearer France and leaves our coastline alone.. here’s hoping.
  3. Gusting a bit now down south.. Newbury. Only reason I know as next door left their recycling out and all I can hear is the box rattling around and dispersing it’s contents across the whole street ( their drive is shared with mine and of course their bedroom is out back facing south and so won’t hear a thing - mine faces north .. ) I think this is a bad as it will get, all dry atm - think we have had a bit of sleet.. not like up Narf..
  4. Agree .. I did just do a complaint to the Beeb and basically said sort it and warn people properly.
  5. Absolutely Nettie.. But some won’t as you no doubt know. I have shared now on my FB the warnings and most of my friends now get it when I say this isn’t going to be good listen to the warnings they are there for a reason.
  6. This is the BEebs coverage. Pathetic Wind warning as region braces for Storm Arwen - BBC News WWW.BBC.CO.UK The alert - meaning damage and travel disruption may be expected - comes in from 15:00 GMT. Wind warning as region braces for Storm Arwen - BBC News WWW.BBC.CO.UK The alert - meaning damage and travel disruption may be expected - comes in from 15:00 GMT. I’ve just sent them a complaint to say not good enough.
  7. Agree.. having said that my dad knows about it and lives on south coast.. he heard it on the radio possibly as he has no social media. Mind you he is an old sailor so is attuned to these warnings.
  8. When I looked at the radar earlier it just seemed to not move and rotate around the harbour. Fishbourne in Chichester is suffering and so many gardens and garages and roads flooded. Think you are still having rain aren’t you?
  9. Hello all, Think this region is covered here.. it used to be. so Chichester ( Fishbourne Chichester) has had a deluge today) lots of flooding still in the village. Anyone have any rainfall data to give context just how much has fallen this afternoon ? ive looked and failed. Many thanks in advance
  10. Hmm is this the same storm.. not looking good https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2019/09/13/three-dead-torrential-rains-hit-southern-spain/
  11. Hmm although I heard that was unconfirmed on twitter also... fingers and toes crossed. Comms will though be a mess for sure and I doubt anyone will hear anything for a while anyhow yet... ?
  12. Still above freezing at 0.5 but not expecting a drop until much much later and early morning last 6am. Gorgeous day on the Berkshire Downs today .. stunning snow .
  13. Snowing in Bognor according to the beach cam https://www.facebook.com/bognorregisbeach/videos/2292544697640645/
  14. I initially thought that.. turns out it is a wee sprinkling of snow. Think the temps are just edging above freezing now here
  15. Second that. ?? We need a bit of chilling.. ( as do most in that M thread)
  16. Seems our feathered friends may concur with that output too...
  17. -2.3 for me and -3.9 dew point and -3.1 windchill. Decent frost at last.. although I have been in Scotland last 5 days.. rain rain, some sun, one frost (lasted till midday ) and rain..
  18. What a Drizzly rubbish day.. still the Christmas Cinderella at Blenheim was amazing.. definitely recommend! Whats the score for tomorrow btw.. not caught up much.. thought I’d read somewhere it could be a bit blustery.. like well what you’d expect from an Atlantic low but just wanted to check I’d not missed anything more major..
  19. Oh seems we nearly hit the 50 mph today. I was up Thames Tower tonight in Reading at several floors up. Quite cool as they have an outdoor bit.. on one of the floors.. which was a tad breezy - It would have been great! That and the views..
  20. warnings expanded I see since last night... although I am to be avoided it seems.. its picking up a little here but no doubt elsewhere within that yellow swathe have more to talk about. Have a safe morning y”all
