  1. They, the 24 hr news programs, also seem to reduce news gathering after about 9 pm and just rely on regurgitating what's in the papers, even though the papers are printing what's been on the 24 hr news channels during the day !!!

  3. LOWESTOFT 'CUT OFF'2319: BBC Radio Suffolk reporter Guy Campbell says flood water in Lowestoft has left some people "effectively cut off". "Where the new Joseph Conrad pub is is completely flooded - no-one can go there at all," he said. "The water is streaming up the High Street. "With the Oulton Broad bridge and the Bascule Bridge closed, this northern part of Lowestoft is effectively cut off. "The only way out is through Haddiscoe, but we think that's probably flooded as well. "I've never seen scenes like this in Lowestoft."

  14. Pressure looks to have bottomed here around 17:00 at 985.8 mb, 11.5C and still gusting into the low 40's mph. No fireworks so far

  18. Lowest pressure here last night was 978 mb at 04:30 but no wind of note, 12 mm of rain in the last 24 hrs.
  19. Pressure now down to 982.7 mb, a 1 mb drop in about 15 min...
  20. Quiet outside at the moment, weather station showing wind = 0 - 11.5 dg C - 983.7 mb and falling, as I watch.
