    Arrived in NYC around 5.30pm EST last night. Snow started around 10pm which was earlier than expected. Although still early, the city is so quiet apart from the odd siren. Unsure of snow depth at the moment from my hotel window but will venture out later when it gets light

    I'm due to land in New York on Friday at 6pm EST. Think I'll get there before it hits? Looks a bit marginal to me!

    Beautiful scenes in Coventry right now, heavy snow since 4:30.

    Really heavy sleet shower just passed through. Temp dropped to 2.6 and my car windscreen is white! Already better than last winter!

    It will strengthen the jet bringing colder conditions to North America. I believe there is also a link to cooler conditions in the UK too.
