  1. Si we go from 1 extreme today to the other on Friday-The Irish Met Office have just named Storm Callum.

  2. To answer someone in the model thread about BBQ Weather next weekend, it might end up being a soggy one (as there's rain on Friday for most places.)

give a bunch of loons easy access to guns= disaster

  6. Well here's something that nobody considered! it turns out  (according to tonight's BBC Week ahead forecast) that a northerly breeze is possibly arriving next week which would make things cooler than originally thought! still dry mind you but i'll take this as a compromise (if this does come off).

  7. The Real version of Summer has at long last arrived!

    1. Mokidugway

      Mokidugway

You mean the crap wet version 😧

  8. That awkward moment When Sheffield is still at 27c whilst the rest of the country is celebrating the end of the heatwave! (watch the rain reach us immediately after i type this!)

  9. Can someone please turn off the models and turn them back on again-they're drunk if they think we are getting 36c the week after next! and August being the warmest part of the summer! the atmosphere is supposed to be cooling down as the nights draw in, not warming up!

  10. I see the models have changed their mind again as we are getting rain on Friday!

  11. Enjoy the Rain Northwest but can Yorkshire please have some like tomorrow!

    1. Mokidugway

Or possibly near the end of the weekend (if hurricane Chris in the Atlantic has got anything to say on the matter!)

  14. Am i really going to have to threaten to do a rain dance in order to get any rain anytime soon?

    1. lassie23

      lassie23

I'll help and do the same. Fed up with my daily one hour watering regime now!

  15. Wants so much for the models to go belly up right now so that we get some much needed rainfall (well it's happened during Winter why can't it happen during Summer.)

  16. Already up to 30.8 in Porthmadog North Wales.

  17. So the Models want to extend the heatwave through next week whilst tonight's BBC Week ahead forecast wants to start a gradual breakdown next week-To be frank, i'd rather have the rain over this heat thank you.

  18. Dear jet stream feel free to end your holiday anytime you like-regards heatwave heater!

If some forecasts are to be believed, this may well be summer's swan song. Not getting my hopes up though. Once bitten and all that.

  19. Looks like things are about to get interesting since we seem to have gone from an unsettled blip to an unsettled spell if the models are right!

    1. Mokidugway

      Mokidugway

Hopefully wrong as the thought of winter starting in July is desperately sad  ,I'll be getting on a plane and sodding off lol

  20. Dear Europe feel free to cool down at anytime you like!

  21. Dear Azores High thanks for sucking our rainfall totals dry-Now kindly take the next plane out of Europe please.

And need i not remind the azores high that it is a Bank Holiday Weekend-Surely lightening isn't going to strike twice (if you pardon the pun.)

    4. Ice Man 85

      Ice Man 85

Yes to one, no to the other. The far SE may see storms, but further north is unlikely.

  22. Something tells me this weather at the moment is too good to last (I.e surely we are not going to get lucky twice next Bank Holiday weekend.)

  23. And the record for warmest May Day Bank Holiday has gone 24.2C in Herstmonceux in East Sussex

  24. That's the first week of May written off already if the models are correct as not only do the first 4 days of May look unsettled, it's then a Bank Holiday Weekend!

    1. Summer Sun

  25. So it seems our old friend the Azores High is making it's first visit of the year next week-Let's how much weather it ends up ruining.

    1. Ice Man 85

      Ice Man 85

With friends like that, who needs enemies?

Seriously though, once our spinless PM joins the redneck in chief we'll all likely be dead by this time next week. Always a silver lining, eh?
