  1. I bet you it won't be anywhere near as bad as that forecast.
  2. Heathrow is always that bit warmer due to the asphalt runways and the location of the thermometer.
  3. Isn't part of the fun of camping being out in all weather's battling the elements?
  4. Heading out for the afternoon. Who to believe when it comes to the radar returns?Hmmm,i think as ever I will ignore the Met Office jokers. They really are appalling.
  5. 23c with good sunny spells in South London. What's wrong with that? Getting close to 24c out at the runway at Heathrow. Nice breeze too.
  6. Exactly. Yes, it's not wall to wall sunshine but if ya can be out and about in shorts and a tshirt( does anybody work on Fridays anymore) then things aren't too bad.
  7. Or maybe they look miserable after forking out 40quisd a pop at Madame Tussauds. That place would deflate anyone whatever the weather. London is a pricey spot.
  8. Fingers going numb?? I'm in West London just now and it's a sticky humid 23c.. You either need gloves or a check up mate.
  9. There's the rain on n8w in SW London after the met office yesterday saying this was going to be a dry and sunny day. I don't look at the beeb as I think they are bonkers but I recall a member here saying they forecast unbroken sunshine and 24c. Seriously laughable poor forecasting.... again!
  10. Pretty good day in London. Long sunny spells, none of the forecasted showers and already up to 23c out by the runway.
  11. I was coming to that. Tommorow now not looking too bad in the South East.
  12. All concrete, no trees: Athens ill-prepared for heat WWW.RTE.IE A densely populated concrete jungle lacking in green space, Athens has become one of Europe's hottest capitals and despite its vulnerability to... This is quite interesting....
  13. Well the two day 'deadly heatwave' in Southern Europe seems to have ended pretty sharpish. Oooh the drama...
  14. Don't worry. The Met Office will dig around for data to say how warm July has been.
  15. Well its another stunning summer's morning in London. Not too warm which is great. This has actually been a pretty good summer down here so far when you think about it.
  16. Beautiful day in London. 21c and sunny. Breezy mind. Definitely warrants a weather warning. For goodness sake?!!
  17. My cousins are going to that game too! They are Monaghan folk where I believe it's been raining practically non stop since Wednesday. Always foul weather up there though they do pretty well with snow in winter. Easy win for Dublin btw.
  18. I don't think anyone flicked a switch in 1987 to be fair. The bbc love a drama.
  19. 6pm readings. Quite a difference in a short distance.
  20. Not sure what all the fuss is about the killer heatwave in Southern Europe. Looks pretty normal to me for mid afternoon in high summer. Drama.
  21. For those is London and the South East going into meltdown over today's weather. It's just a nice drop of much needed summer rain.
  22. Yup. I was up in Blackpool last weekend... oh the glamour. Had some great thunderstorms and nice heat. Storms from Wales then blasted the Fylde coast. Everything down here in the south east has got boring weatherwise recently. Maybe there'll be surprises... like last December.
  23. Great to see this thread up again. I was just thinking this earlier on. We've had a dry summer so far down here but just enough rain for the parks not to be burnt to a crisp. In 3/4 weeks time we'll be starting to see the early autumn dews of a morning. Not long now lads.
  24. Yup, and Netweather's forecast issued on Monday was spot on. Unlike certain others. Fair play!! Consistently more accurate over the last few months.
