Reporting from Wythenshawe hospital today, had 2nd operation for cancer they found Aug last year.  Prognosis is good, despite treatment I'm fine and dandy and still positive.

Got a lovely room with a view and 2 squirrels for company.  Wot no rain? It's dry outside, overcast with odd pocket of blue sky.  Should be feeling colder when I'm fit to go home.

@Kasim Awan I hope your operation goes well with a speedy recovery. My regards.

Hope all is good , speedy recovery

Karamboa is the one we went in last January and the only criticism I have was us only going for a week.

It’s a massive hotel but spread out and right on a lovely beach and with probably the shortest airport transfer I’ve ever had.

You literally drive out of the airport gates and straight onto the hotel access road.

sure you’ll enjoy the place and get your exercise in at the same time.

Really looking forward to it, the reviews are good.We normally seek some sun in January for my Wife's birthday ,went to Antigua last year ,that was awesome, a few showers but 28-30c every day.Boa Vista should be drier if a little cooler.

Enjoy some warmer sunny weather ☀️ 🏝️ 🐠

My brother that’s been here over new years from Costa Rica is there in March looking at a business opportunity… have to let us know what you think… if they do move there will definitely visit… they left us today to stay in an air b&b near Crich for a couple of days r&r from the mayhem….

We've been twice before to Sal , it's very barren but so friendly. This time we're going to Boa Vista which is less developed. As much as like the cold in Winter ,I will take the hot sun anyday of the year

This time last year we were ready to pack for a week of winter sun in Boa Vista CV.

sod all to look forward to this January other than darkness and a will it, won’t it cold spell.

Spurry, enjoy yourselves and don’t worry about the odd flake of snow that may fall in the northwest.

Ill look in from time to time ,hopefully see some nice wintry scenes from my beach bed

  4. Arrived home yesterday after spending a lovely week in Istria(Croatia),despite the doom and gloom forecasts of heavy rain throughout the med/adriatic we had a lovely week with sunshine on 6 out of 7 days, temps were reaching highs between 24-26c and it was not humid.Coming back to Wigan yesterday was  really uncomfortable  due to the high humidity ,but we saw some torrential rain/storms yesterday evening.Currently very warm again with garden sensor showing 22.2 c .Yesterdays high was 32.8c followed by an overnight low of 16c.

  5. Got to admit I'm a bit confused this morning(more so than usual old man confused).Looked at my weather apps including the BBC and the snowfall tomorrow/friday has downgraded to sleet ,but just seen the TV forecast from Carol Kirkwood and it still indicates a period of prolonged snowfall. Think it's just gonna be window watching
