This footage... Video from doorbell cam. Probably the loudest thunder I've ever herd. People love about 15 miles from me said it was like a bomb there too!

    The Southampton/Eastleigh strike caught on camera. Seems it was loud enough to be heard as far away as Basingstoke

    Despite the initial thundersnow I can confirm we now have heavy rain and everything has washed away. Rain further inland that the radar suggests.

    I dont have a station but in Southampton it is flooded pretty much everywhere around hedge end/Eastleigh area. I would estimate 40mm last 90 mins or so?

    This is what you got to love about the weather. Not a single drop of rain here but half a mile up the road play was stopped at the cricket and my sister In law was mopping sideways rain out of the conservatory
