  1. Well, it was the muddiest I've ever seen Maybe next year... (Still fantastic fun, of course )
  2. Yes it looks like we would be saying this is good weather it it hasn't been for the horrendous rain over the weekend that destroyed the site. Now we will need to be lucky in avoiding showers for the site to out :-|
  3. Any further updates? My impression of the forecasts is that they've been deteriorating slightly over the last few days, with showers now forecast on Thu/Fri/Sat, on top of the now saturated ground?
  4. Been waiting for this for weeks - thanks J10
  5. Thanks for your posts again J10. Weather this year was quite different to anything for quite some years: usually the site has been waterlogged on arrival, progressively drying up over the weekend, (apart from the hot, dry 2010 year) but this year was bone-dry on arrival but had the heaviest rain during the festival since 2007. Despite a huge amount of rain in some of the thunderstorms, the dry subsoil absorbed it quite well overnight and prevented the totally unwalkable mud that resulted in e.g. 2011 when rain fell on already saturated ground. Also the festival is so much better at putting wood-chip down on the main routes now, many areas were walkable in trainers by the Sunday night. The festival itself was great, as always :-) . I feel for Rudimental, who had their set cut short by lightning though!
  6. I've been every year since 2008, and I would say this year had the best weather so far. Although 2010 was totally dry festival, Sat/Sun afternoons then were just too hot (high 20s C) and it was impossible to find shade. This year, the Thursday rain was a minor inconvinience, but had the benefit of turning the busy areas into polished marble surfaces and smoothing the entire site, and Sat/Sun were stunning. The only slight loss was that there were no sunsets this year, and the wind picked up each evening and was chilly, but overall you couldnt ask for much more.
