  1. I believe it is too, it's been around for a few days - still haven't got used to it... quick glance and I think *yay*, two seconds later, "Oh, anaprop" *glum face*.
  2. *!* 'MINI-TORNADO' KLAXON *!* http://www.stokesentinel.co.uk/Roof-tiles-falling-hitting-cars-mini-tornado-hits/story-29181119-detail/story.html
  3. Well, if you have two legs, feathers and occasionally go "quack", then outside is perfect for you.
  4. Hopefully not. Just looked, high tide is 09:49 (11.18m) ... deffo worth a ganders down.
  5. Thank goodness it's not bin-day... might have a walk down to the seafront in the morning.
  6. Ah, I see. Thank you, Jo.
  7. I'm confused... I thought the naming was for the storms during Autumn and Winter, and correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't today the start of meteorological Spring? *confused look* Although, saying that, I do enjoy a good storm - I've still not got over how amazing the seafront was from Imogen.
  8. Never in my life have I (personally) witnessed rain like that then. Short (about a minute) of nothing but a thick wall of water, proper belting it down - now it's back to drizzle/light rain. That was beyond epic. :o
  9. One normal grumble, and two proper things: 1) I'm personally not a fan of this update. 2) I cannot enter anything into the "What's on your mind" status-y thing on the homepage in the sidebar. (One's using Chrome) 3) Where's the option to turn OFF thread reply email notifications? I only see instant, daily and weekly.
  10. It's pronounced CLO-DA, like Yoda but with a 'Cl' in place of the 'Y'.
  11. Just walked along the seawalk (if you know Weston-super-Mare, then the (exposed) walk way along the coast as if you were walking towards Birnbeck Pier) and my god, some of the gusts were like an invisible hand moving me like a chess piece. I'm not out with any equipment, so can't get a proper reading for you, but as a normal evaluation: It's bloody windy. Oh and the waves (coming in) look fierce.
  12. 1500 - Shannon - Wind: 55.2mph (up 2.3mph) Gust: 76.0mph (up 2.4mph) I'll be down the seafront later on too, should be interesting.
  13. I'd guess they're using GFS data, as the maps pretty much match the ones I have running pic 1 & pic 2 (respectively)
  14. Here you go -> LightningMaps Archive. That archive is from now and goes back to 2011.
  15. Two METAR readings, both from RAF Valley on Anglesey, Wales at 16:50 and 17:05 (BST) this afternoon, have flagged up an FC (Funnel Cloud/Tornado/WaterSpout) Can't see anything mentioned throughout Twitter in that region though. :/ METAR EGOV 021550Z 36009KT 9999 FC FEW018 SCT032 BKN055 13/11 Q1019 BLU TEMPO SCT018 WHT EGOV 021605Z 34009KT 9999 VCFC FEW018 SCT032 BKN060 13/10 Q1019 BLU TEMPO SCT018 WHT
  16. I'm guessing there might be some thunder and a bit of rain near you Rain123?
  17. A nice fancy selection of clouds this nice and cool(er) evening. Earlier on was borderline unbearable... just walking to the shop around the corner and I was drenched. I really can't hack the humid warmth. :/
  18. One word. WOW. Dull and cloudy most of the day, bit of a slight nippy breeze too. Although still feeling a bit muggy. :/
  19. Whoops, sorry. I was referring to the FC section of the METAR strings (FC = Funnel Cloud/Tornado/Waterspout) Top string was reported at 10:50(GMT) [11:50(BST)], bottom one at 13:50(GMT) [14:50(BST)] Both from EGNS, which is the ICAO (International Civil Aviation Organization) airport code for Ronaldsway Airport, Isle of Man. There's a free online METAR decoder here, which will show you more information when you paste the string in to it and press the "Decode" button.
  20. Just looking at the METAR stuff I archive and noticed these two from EGNS (Isle of Man) on Friday. EGNS 241050Z 07008KT 9999 FC SCT020CB 14/10 Q1012 NOSIG EGNS 241350Z 08007KT 050V110 9999 -SHRA FC SCT025TCU BKN046 14/09 Q1012 NOSIG I haven't seen anything else mentioned about it (either on here or a few other sites - unless I've missed it) ... would've been nice to have seen if anyone did see anything themselves.
  21. A selection of pics and vids I've seen throughout social media so far. 22. It's very "Florida during hurricane season" outside. This bit of rain is horrendous! You can see the wind in the rain and it's hammering the windows like a pressure washer. :/
  23. 2nd cloak of darkness just creeping in now... hopefully the same again (rain and hail), but with a little pinch of something extra - just a little spark or two, or maybe start raining £50 notes, that'll do too.
