  1. I hope August doesnt turn out like 2021 one huge cloud that lasted for weeks. Would be fingernail pulling out time then.. Damn what has happened to our summer. roll on snowman making time.
  2. I set on fire when anything is above 5c.. so i'm always sitting in a walk in freezer at the butchers.
  3. Its not been cold of late.. just not reliable to stay dry. Depressing how poor this summer has gone from June onwards.. At least we know August can't be has bad as July.. if it is. I'm getting a huge rope for next summer and dragging the UK further south. just need a few helping hands.
  4. To be fair, today has been lovely and warm and partly cloudy at times.. cold start though
  5. a blip with more rain than Noah had to deal with
  6. Alex Deakin gets on my nerves when it comes to climate change . Its obviously happening. but he seems to push it when its not needed.. (just my opinion) in the sense of saying July has been around average. Im sure he will change that next time theres deep dive. July 2012 from my recollection was very cold and cloudy. This July has been basically wet wet and more wet. both rubbish weather months
  7. What a terrible month July has been.. counted about 4 days that would be considered summary. Can't recall a July this bad to be honest. I doubt anyone expected this to turn out to be the case after the June we had.
  8. My memory goes back to the whining from some in early May thinking the weather patterns were stuck and that would be it for the rest of the year. But May turned out decent in the end.I mentioned i felt it wouldnt be too bad. as it wasn't that windy Unfortunately, its not the case now, west to north-westerlys blowing strongly from that direction. Very difficult to get pressure to rise from the south.
  9. if it wasn't for most of May and June been very good on the top of an outstanding summer last year. I think most of us would be getting out sleeping pills and vodka.. Hopefully August and September make up for this July. such is the weather in the UK. we may get an Indian summer this year.. so who knows.
  10. Helen Willets "we need the rain" Yes my lovely, we always need days and days and days of rain in the Summer, its the best time of year for it.
  11. I blame the HIGH for being in the wrong location. the subtropical south east is like Siberia Its been lovely here for the most part
  12. I watched the met office look ahead for summer. So no idea is basically their idea... Could be this and could be that. But remember. we can't predict what a day will be like in August.. but we will just say its going to be 45% more likely to be a hot summer.. but we can't rule out the 2% of it being a cold summer.. so really just throwing darts at a wall and hoping to hit the dartboard
  13. we actually got a bit of rain this morning. which wasn't expected. Looking at the temperatures for the next couple of weeks. no sign of anything really warm. Its been lovely last 3 weeks. but over all , I hope we get sone real hot weather soon. otherwise its not been anything spectacular
  14. Perfect day here again.. can't really moan and groan about the weather in recent times
  15. Lovely yet again! cant complain at all! just dont allow the greet snot this next 3 or so months and we will be happy.
  16. Theres no green snot around if that helps? seems the antibiotics cleared it up
  17. Because you only take into consideration good years..You can not deny May is not that great a month if your looking for over all summer like weather.. You expect it to be always like that and its simply not., Averages are taken over a 20 year period. You have 3 excellent mays and 4 poor Mays.. and 3 average Mays in 10 years. the outcome is somewhere in between poor to decent weatherwise
  18. Obviously we don't want it to be like this.. but it is. like i say often. September is more reliable than May. I agree its the second week in June and its terrible its time to get out the moaning and groaning and I will be the first.. so move over
  19. what is an average May day for London?? says 17c from what ive looked at it. some people think its higher? This May is just a typical May for most of the country. I don't get the impression its suppose to be something spectacular We've had lots of poor Mays down the years. So its nothing new.. In fact its expected..
  20. I can't really complain the last 2 out of 3 days have been lovely here.. I know its not gonna stay like that. But at least theres been something to like.
  21. i remember the opening day at Lords against Australia 2013. absolutely perfect day (sorry for going off topic)
  22. I'm no expert on weather, but i find the fact its not been very windy an interesting situation. the weather maybe slow moving showers. and the low pressures ain't moving through quickly.. Just i find in the UK when it gets very windy.. Its leads to very mixed weather.. usually from the West/Northwest.. I just think eventually pressure will rise and stick around.similar to how low pressure is now..It can't rain for ever (l know it probably will) but i do live in hope we'll get a decent enough summer. summers like 2018 and 2022 are rare. Just like Summers like 2007 and 2012 are..be a mixture of everything
