  1. Bar September (average) and November 2013 (below average), every month since July 2013 above average.
  2. Anyone have a funny feeling it could be a 1990 repeat in the UK?
  3. Heatwaves, but with some thundery activity for me Usually hot summers come in twos (1975/76), (1983/84), (1989/90) or in bunches like (1994-1997) and (2003-2006). Perhaps 2013/14 will be a pairing? Hope so.
  4. 10.5 - Will be a mixed bag of a month.
  5. 7.8 - Looking to be a very mixed month in my eyes.
  6. I'm not a fan of winter, but this has to be the worst one ever. So much rain and wind, just depressing. 2006/07 and 2007/08 follow this along with 2011/12 - that was a stinker of a winter. I was shocked how very mild it was in late December! I'm hoping summer doesn't go the same way as those years.
  7. 1 - August - Warm, and not as intense as July with heat. Start of football season too 2 - July - Often hot and sunny. 3 - October - Autumn settles in, sometimes warm and sometimes cool. 4 - December - Christmas, and the beginning of winter 5 - May - A usually pleasent month and things start to warming. 6 - February - This is usually the best winter month, plus the light nights start kicking in. 7 - September - End of summer, but still some heat. 8 - June - This to me is usually the weakest summer month. 9 - March - Usually indifferent month - either very hot or very cold. Rarely you see an inbetween option 10 - April - Like March, you don't know what to expect. Rather wet too (2012 springs to mind) 11 - November - I know it's my birthday in that month, but it soooo dreary. 12 - January - Cold, dark and boring,
  8. I can see a cold/cool March (that month will wake us up lol), average April and a warmish May.
  9. Wasn't July 2007 a cool July? and 2012 the coolest June for a while?
  10. The Express is a joke anyway. Diana seems to be ots focus plus miracle cures. Sooner it ceases publishing the better.
  11. Would be disappointed to an extent, but would save on the leccy meter lol
  12. That winter was unreal. Just too mild and wet. I remember a few days of snow in February 2007, the one Thursday (think it was the 2nd week of Feb) I was walking the dog and as we were walking back it snowed very heavily! Only lasted about two/three days, but it was perhaps the highlight of it all.
  13. I would LOVE a White Christmas! December 2010 was easily the best winter month in recent times and I say this a hot weather lover. The snow in Birmingham was very thick, and it lasted around ten days. Seeing it on Christmas Day was a beautiful sight. Really made Christmas like Christmas that year.
  14. I've only got Storage heaters and three oil filled radiators ( two of which I bought in the summer before they jack up the price) in my flat. The last time the heating was on was back in mid April. At least with the oil filled ones (the one I bought when I moved in) the cost is very cheap, especially on a pre-paid meter. I know a couple of nights this week have been nippy, but lots of blankets and an old t-shirt do the trick, plus cuddles and warm drinks before bed. Aside from the last two years in a tower block we lived in from the ages of two to eight, my last property (I did a six months stint and the heating was on the last two weeks I was there - Oct 20th to Nov 4th) and where I lived in Coventry from 2005-2006, all my properties have NOT had central heating so I know how to survive. The difference with this one is there is no lovely gas fire in the living room On the other end, I've not put a fan on at all this summer! Windows wide open and cool drinks plus water did the trick! Long may it continue not putting the heating on!!!
  15. I hope for a decent winter. Not a 1963 clone, but a balance of cold and snow. I fear for a mild winter. Has a habit of screwing summers badly - 2007 and 2012 spring to mind. Has any mild winter produced a hot summer?
  16. This one from October 2005 - VERY warm. Memories of travelling to Kidderminster to see my Dad. The temperature was 21c in Birmingham!!
