Snowangel-MK well having no social media footprint whatsoever, i find talking a good substitute.
Misty cool morning here, funny how things are relative, the nights seem colder lately then most of winter. the sun is stronger yet temps are hovering in low teens. I need more warmth on my bones

Well, due to my bus journey taking half an hour to travel 1 mile across Blackheath, by the time i got to Westminster the rain had stopped
Grrr, i hate commuting in London.... normal bus journey in the morning of 10 miles distance usually takes an hour forty-five minutes; and its half term down here.

My bus commute this morning was like being in a fridge. It was warmer outside then on the bus.
and when i say 'warmer' it was still pretty chilly at about 3C when i left home.

Current update on BBC
QuoteIs the forecast going to plan?
Matt Taylor
BBC Weather
Today was always going to be a fine balance between rain and potentially very heavy snowfall in some areas.
I mentioned earlier that the intensity of the precipitation could be crucial. We are now seeing the intensity pick up in north Wales and the north-west Midlands. This is turning more of what was falling as rain to snow.
As that higher intensity area moves north, snowfall will become heavier on the hills of north Wales, the Peak District and Pennines over the coming hours, before turning back to rain. It could also mean some lower lying areas will see a bit more snow, mixed in with the rain, at times.
Even ahead of that, we are now seeing the forecast snow start to arrive more widely on the north Pennines and Northern Ireland.
The Met Office yellow warning for snow in southern Scotland now has an earlier start time of midday, indicating that things are progressing a little quicker than expected earlier.

Back in the 70's part of my uniform for primary school was shorts not trousers

andy989 Maybe the wind direction against the mountainous area and geography means the snow won't hit the higher ground. puurely guessing here though.

I have a question, why is everyone excited
No excitement here, in fact the opposite. cooked a sunday dinner for 7 adults yesterday, loved doing it. Went to bed at nine last night as usual, woke up for work at 0530 feeling like i hadn't slept. Been off sick today and will probably be off tomorrow too the way i feel. who cares if it snows? I could do with sun and warmth just now. Still at least i have a royal illness diagnosis of enlarged prostate

Was really chilly walking across Westminster Bridge this morning. We are in Spring now, right? Felt warmer winter days than today.
