Went to Sedgefield races today, lovely weather, shame I'm useless at picking winners.

April 10th London.

Thick fog and just above freezing here, gutted seeing the higher temps elsewhere.

Covering of snow just a few miles away Biddulph way
That's surprising as I'm at about 800 ft and nothing on the ground at all.

4c and drizzle here.

I thought 6.2 was lower than 6.3 in mathematics? Yesterday it was 6.3, today 6.2, and certainly the next few days will be below average - so a downward trend in CET value for the month will occur.
I meant it isn't good to see.
-
Good to see the CET is now on a downward trend, and January 2015 at least what be as mild as January 2014.
No it isn't

As I read it though, the 11.6C is the highest recorded daily mean for any January day. So that means any January day ever recorded from 1-31 Jan since 1772.
Aye you're right, I didn't read the bottom bit of BFTV's post.

It's amazing that the all-time January daily CET is under threat. Just to put that into perspective, how many years have daily CET records been recorded for? Am I correct in saying 1772, so that would be over 7500 January days to beat?
I may be wrong but that daily record is only for the day in question so only 240 or so.

The temps for here are always too low, many times over the xmas period it was supposed to be 6c and was always 7 or 8c.

Was going to go to Uttoxeter races today with group of mates but abandoned because of that poxy frost, ah well we're spending all day in the pub instead, have a good NYE all.

The problem with mild weather in winter is thats its normally cloudy damp depressive weather.
We need more of this lovely sunny cold crisp days like today.
In which it makes everyone feel better. :smiliz34: :smiliz34:
No it doesn't.

Next week will predominately have average to below average temperatures, with the exception of Wednesday. Overall, next week will be colder than average, so the CET will probably be lower than it is now. If you don't understand that, then there's nothing I can do...
You're havin a laugh, the CET will certainly be higher than it is now in 7 days time.

I doubt it...that idiot says the same damn thing every year. Lives in a world of his own. I have this image of him during the summer months wandering around his little bedsit after a night of deep inhalation of his own farts, doodling snowmen all over his walls and writing "I AM NOT MAD" everywhere with his favourite crayon.
Genuine LOL at this.
