  1. Being in the South, I would take what GFS is showing but I'm having a hard time trusting any of the models +48 with regard precipitation and the track of this low. I'm looking to the higher resolution models nearer the time for the track of the midweek feature.
  2. Just read 17 pages and I'm still none the wiser as to what may happen next week. Most chaotic, roller coaster model watching for years
  3. The last 2 weeks have been excruciating in there. It's either one extreme emotion or the other. I just read it, mostly not even logged in. Still, best winter charts we've seen for many a year IMO.
  4. Let's hope it comes off. We don't get enough of the white stuff down south. The model thread, that I've been following for the last 10 years, has turned into an emotional rollercoaster once again this winter.
  5. Ive been watching the forum for nearly a decade and I've seen this happen in the Model thread almost every year. With synoptics like we have at the moment the atmosphere in here could be cut with a knife, no pun intended. The models are having a very hard time figuring this unusual spell out . In my humble opinion FI is anything beyond 5-7 days at the moment. It's only December and there is a lot still to play for in my opinion. I've seen 3+ inches of snow on the ground in my location on March 13th before...
  6. No news is good news: Big Brother guests unaware of pandemic | World news | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Information blackout only lifted in certain events like family illness, say producers This is just weird. Are they lucky or not? I can't decide.
  7. Don't know if this has been posted already in the thread, it's gotten very big, very quickly, a lot to go through. Currently, as it stands here in the UK, the closed case mortality rate for Covid 19 is 64%.There are 55 closed cases in the UK. 20 recovered/discharged and 35 deaths. Obviously this will change daily as more cases recover. Worldwide the closed case mortality rate is currently at 8%. 84,302 closed cases, 77,778 recovered/discharged, 6,524 deaths. Coronavirus Update (Live): 170,029 Cases and 6,524 Deaths from COVID-19 Virus Outbreak - Worldometer WWW.WORLDOMETERS.INFO Live statistics and coronavirus news tracking the number of confirmed cases, recovered patients, and death toll by country due to the COVID 19... The site is updated very regularly. I wouldn't like to say how accurate it is or how they collate their info, but for those interested in the statistics as this nightmare unfolds it may be interesting.
  8. UK coronavirus crisis 'to last until spring 2021 and could see 7.9m hospitalised' | World news | The Guardian WWW.THEGUARDIAN.COM Exclusive: Public Health England document seen by Guardian says four in five ‘expected’ to contract virus This is a situation being allowed to happen. We are all part of an experiment. The choices being made at the top make no sense, to me at least. Half a million dead!?!? Are we, the British public, just going to go along with being thrown under this bus???
  9. Snowing again down here. Not forecasted by the MO. Nice blob of pink coasting along the south on radar this morning.
  10. Still coming down moderately just over the water MWB.. Only a few miles south west of Portsmouth. I can usually see the Spiniker tower from my loft window...
  11. Just got home. The garden looks nice today. Quick cuppa, then my 2 year old will wake up and the madness will begin. Hope you lot are enjoying this rare event..
  12. Isle of Wight council had the gritters out yesterday afternoon.. This is the main road through my village now...
  13. At least 2 inches up here on Mount Joy in Carisbrooke. Bitter in the wind. Still coming down nicely... Wish I brought gloves. Taken 5 mins to write this...
  14. Coming down steady here on the Isle of Wight. A couple of inches has layed on the road outside my house. Not sure what the main roads are like. Will find out in a minute.... I'm off for a walk up the downs..
  15. Hi. Don't post on the forum much...if ever.....but been lurking here since 2013. It's coming down slow but steady here in Carisbrooke. It's settling...just. Cooling the ground down a bit for the night time antics later on...
  16. Hello. First post on the forum. Been snooping for a couple of years though. Nothing in the way of snow here in Newport on the Isle of Wight.
