  1. It's never had its own forum, there's a thread over in the severe weather forum for it though:
  2. Thanks, those buttons will be tidied on an upcoming release I think this is all linked to a bug we have listed, so should be sorted in an upcoming release.
  3. That's the current weather overlay, the mapped ones are the NMM overlays just beneath
  4. Yep, bit late for this one, but definitely a good idea
  5. Nice to see our updated precip type picking up the hail in these showers quite well at the moment, something our older version always struggled with https://www.netweather.tv/live-weather/radar
  6. But if you're saying it as you see it, you probably ought to note that apart from the 216 hour chart there, the rest have lower, rather than higher pressure nearer to the UK, with a west or southwest flow off of the Atlantic. It's hardly settled! It's this spinning of stuff which is frustrating, either due to weather preferences, or the need to make a point. There's just no need.
  7. Changeable, is surely by definition, unsettled, as it's not as if you can have settled, changeable weather?
  8. Do we have to go through this again? Some people like rain, some like snow, some like sunshine, heat etc etc etc. It's a personal thing, no-one needs to man-up for not liking rain, no-one needs to get a grip for not liking sun, and so on. I'd also recommend having a read of the forum guidelines, as they're pretty clear about this sort of thing.. https://www.netweather.tv/forum/guidelines/ It would be a shame to see people having their posting rights removed over this stuff, as it seems so obvious and straight forward - I mean, what does it matter if someone else likes a different weather type to you anyway? But these petty arguments just poison the atmosphere, and those continuing to do it will end up not being able to post, so please stop now, and think before posting.
  9. Indeed, and in many cases we can all save money and live more efficiently too, even if it may take a bit of effort.
  10. Was about to post the same: https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/warnings-and-advice/uk-warnings#?date=2019-04-24&region=wm&regionType=area&id=32347624-1d63-489b-9711-15f43af46070
  11. Nick's issued a storm forecast for today: https://www.netweather.tv/weather-forecasts/uk/convective

    Tour 1

This morning's charts paint a pretty active picture for the start of tour 1. Mostly over Texas too. Day 1 Day 2 Day 3 Looks like the jet stream is never too far away at this time either, it's quite active right at the start of the tour (maybe best on arrival day, which could be a bonus chase day, potentially), then it weakens, but still with enough flow to help things along, before strengthening again initially with the main part of it to the north, but later it looks like it may reload further south. All still a fair way off though, so still subject to lots of change, but definitely looking promising.
  13. It's a bit of a fudge. It's not been the hottest easter ever, but was the hottest easter sunday (in places) and easter monday ever (just about everywhere).
  14. That's the world we live in though, there are some people who think that way. We do stop people posting on here when they just make 'anti-science' statements over and over again and won't engage. As we do with people who resort to insults and the like. We also have fairly strict rules in terms of acceptable, science based evidence etc. So please report posts which you think are going beyond reasonable. Ultimately there will always be people who disbelieve the science, for whatever reason, but all we can all do is keep going with the evidence and science based debate, in the hope that at least some of those wake up and smell the coffee. I agree, It shouldn't really be necessary at this point, but it is what it is.
  15. There is a balance to be had though. Even if some of those posting the contrarian stuff won't change their views, the evidence and info posted to challenge them will be read by many others, some of whom may be sitting on the fence or even in the denial camp, and that info may help to sway them. I'm not saying we should allow the 'hardcore deniers' a platform to present pseudo-science etc, but closing down debate entirely isn't necessarily the way forward. If there are people out there who still don't believe the science, despite all of the evidence, then those views need countering using factual, scientific evidence as clearly and as regularly as possible imo. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/av/uk-48018034/climate-change-activist-greta-thunberg-listen-to-climate-scientists
  16. Some cracking easter weekend pics in here, please feel free to post them into our Easter gallery, so we can preserve a record of what's been an amazing long weekend. https://www.netweather.tv/forum/gallery/category/80-easter-weekend-2019/
  17. Noticed some really nice photos of the Easter weekend posted in here over the last few days - we have a gallery setup to keep a record of it all, so if anyone wants to post their shots in there, that'd be great. https://www.netweather.tv/forum/gallery/category/80-easter-weekend-2019/
  18. The high yesterday was 25c at Northolt, so an amazing weekend for late April really, and plenty of Easter records biting the dust. @38.5*C is the competition winner, with a guess just .1c away from the highest temperature across the weekend, congratulations! (I'll be in touch via pm a bit later so we can arrange your prize). Thanks to everyone who took part, we should do this sort of thing more often
  19. The 25.3 wasn't official I don't think, perhaps failed qc for some reason, as the Met Office aren't showing it on their extremes feed.
  20. 24.6c was the high yesterday (london Heathrow), so we're still in the same position in the competition with @38.5*C leading the way. Doesn't look especially likely we'll be bettering 25.5c today, but you never know!

    Tour 1

    Yep, hail time!
  22. Gosport Fleetlands won the day again yesterday, with a max of 25.5c. That means @Kirkcaldy Weather is off the top spot and eliminated. The current leader is @38.5*C with a guess of 25.6c. Today is going to be close, can we squeeze a bit warmer, or will Saturday be the peak? https://www.netweather.tv/live-weather/daily-top-20/maxt
